Dude, you're a 100% dick. He didn't get the fight bonus for losing, he got it for being in the fight of the night . . . which is standard practice in the UFC not Dana choosing to reward "his 'marquee and brand' fighters so well" as you so eloquently and incorrectly stated. If he was rewarding "his 'marquee and brand' fighters so well" Chris Lytle would not have garnered the fight of the night distinction and bonus on four separate occasions, Paul Taylor on three separate ocassions, and Marcus Davis on two.

You know there weren't exactly a bunch of barn-burners on display at UFC 101 and if we use the crowd's reaction as a guide then the UFC correctly assigned the fight of the night honors. There's actually a train of thought here. To prevent lackluster performances (such as Starnes vs Quarry) in which fighters fail to engage the UFC puts out the fight of the night bonus (along with several other bonuses) as an incentive for one to really try and go to task on one's opponent. Makes sense doesn't it. Now a "bonus for loosing*," as you put it, would be outright illegal and is more universally known as having one combatant "throw the fight," you douche. Try not to be that much of a blockhead in the future, ya big galoot.

P.S Just in case you didn't know, the fight of the night bonus goes to both the winner and the loser in the fight.

    *whatever that means

Styles make fights. Both Shogun and Rampage were under conditioned for their fights with Griffin; and neither have Sylvia's footwork nor understanding of range. Sylvia's speed and technique were obviously going to be too much for Griffin going in. Look at any prefight post I made for this fight, I'm not just talking in hindsight. I am astonished anyone thought Griffin had a prayer.

So everybody says Dana is an ******* for not paying guys enough.

Then Dana pays a guy an extra 60k.

    Then you ***** about that.

Guess what, there were also several "locker room" bonus checks that will likely never be made public that a lot of fighters got. Want to complain about that too?

He got 60k for fighting Silva.

Would you prefer MMA fighters get paid less?
