    Cruiserweight Appreciation Thread
Grigory Drozd is a 35 year old 6'1 Cruiserweight with a 40-1 28 KO's record. Born in Prokopyevsk, Russia and relocated to Chekhov as an amateur he has 3 fight 3 wins not much of a amateur, and after turning pro in 2001 he was on a roll until he fought the very talented underrated Turkish fighter Arslan and was stopped in the 5th round, but since then he is undefeated. He has been on quite a roll as of late stopping Masternak in 11 and making Wlodarczyk take a knee and dominating him for 12 rounds. He'll be a tough fight for all of the top guys at Cruiserweight, and may even be P4P the best in the division. He's incredibly skilled, accurate and all around proficient at most of Boxing's more subtle craft, alongside Lebedev probably the finest technician from Mother Russia. Although age may become a factor for him with the arrival of so many young guns in the division like Makabu, Kudryashov, Briedis, Glowacki and most importantly Usyk, how long will he keep his title? So Check Out the Prokopyevsk Pretty Boy he's not quite a Boy anymore but he's still decent looking. :toney:toney:toney:toney

i like cruiserweight division a lot
they can be fast like middleweights and hit like heavies....

but like anything else involving boxing it should be 100 times better. you guys are so used to **** defenses and lame mandatory you probably dont even notice

heres the last 5 years worth of cruiserweight title fights

WBA 9 fights in 5 years
Steve Herelius TKO11 Firat Arslan- WBA World cruiserweight title (2010)
Guillermo Jones TKO11 Valery Brudov- WBA cruiserweight title (2010)
Yoan Pablo Hernandez TKO7 Steve Herelius- WBA World cruiserweight title (2011)
Denis Lebedev W12 James Toney - WBA cruiserweight title (2011)
Guillermo Jones TKO6 Michael Marrone- WBA World cruiserweight title (2011)
Guillermo Jones KO10 Denis Lebedev- WBA cruiserweight title (2012)
Youri Kayembre Kalenga W12 Mateusz Masternak- WBA World cruiserweight title (2014)
Denis Lebedev KO2 Pawel Kolodziej- WBA World cruiserweight title (2014)
Youri Kayembre Kalenga TKO12 Denton Daley- WBA World cruiserweight title (2014)
(thats between all their WBA belts)

IBF has 7 title fights in 5 years. 4 of them came from a guy that left to be a heavyweight over 2 years ago! Hernandez has 3 fights in 2 years (WOW)

Steve Cunningham TKO5 Troy Ross- IBF cruiserweight title (2010)
Steve Cunningham W12 Enad Licina- IBF cruiserweight title (2011)
Steve Cunningham LTD6 Yoan Pablo Hernandez I - IBF cruiserweight title (2011)
Steve Cunningham L12 Yoan Pablo Hernandez II - IBF cruiserweight title (2012)
Yoan Pablo Hernandez W12 Troy Ross- IBF cruiserweight title (2012)
Yoan Pablo Hernandez KO10 Alexander Alekseev- IBF cruiserweight title (2013)
Yoan Pablo Hernandez W12 Firat Arslan- IBF World cruiserweight title (2014)

    WBC 9 title fights
Krzysztof Wlodarczyk W12 Giacobbe Fragomeni- WBC cruiserweight title (2010)
Krzysztof Wlodarczyk W12 Jason Robinson- WBC cruiserweight title (2010)
Krzysztof Wlodarczyk W12 Francisco Palacios- WBC cruiserweight title (2011)
Krzysztof Wlodarczyk TKO11 Danny Green- WBC cruiserweight title (2011)
Krzysztof Wlodarczyk W12 Francisco Palacios II- WBC cruiserweight title (2012)
Krzysztof Wlodarczyk TKO8 Rakhim Chakhiev- WBC cruiserweight title (2013)
Krzysztof Wlodarczyk TKO6 Giacobbe Fragomeni III- WBC cruiserweight title (2013)
Grigory Drozd W12 Krzysztof Wlodarczyk- WBC cruiserweight title (2014

(oh the world awaited for all his defenses)

and the busiest and the best Huck fights often but its your typical
modern fighter , fighting EVERYONE but another champion.

Marco Huck KO3 Adam Richards- WBO cruiserweight title (2010)
Marco Huck TKO9 Brian Minto- WBO cruiserweight title (2010)
Marco Huck TKO5 Matt Godfrey- WBO cruiserweight title (2010)
Marco Huck W12 Denis Lebedev- WBO cruiserweight title (2010)
Marco Huck W12 Ran Nakash- WBO cruiserweight title (2011)
Marco Huck KO10 Hugo Hernan Garay- WBO cruiserweight title (2011)
Marco Huck KO6 Rogelio Omar Rossi- WBO cruiserweight title (2011)
Marco Huck D12 Ola Afolabi II- WBO cruiserweight title (2012)
Marco Huck W12 Firat Arslan I- WBO cruiserweight title (2012)
Marco Huck W12 Ola Afolabi III- WBO World Cruiserweight title (2013)
Marco Huck TKO6 Firat Arslan II- WBO cruiserweight title (2014)
Marco Huck W12 Mirko Larghetti- WBO World cruiserweight title (2014)

its pathetic we cant get Wlodarczyk vs Huck or YP Hernandez vs Lefbev or a combination of any of them. everyone must be content with their trinkets and safe ho hum defenses...... the best never ever fight each other...prime example right here....stats dont lie

Huck vs Mirko Larghetti II next

Its pretty obvious your a trendy little b*itch who only wants to see threads on whoever is popular at the moment probably Mayweather or Pacquiao, well I'm there's enough of those threads for you to get your fill, this is a boxing forum, I profile boxers, because I love boxing, all the divisions and any decent fighter within them, which should get a little attention from time to time.

You must not be a real fan since you take such offense at me acknowledging that's there is something other than what you find entertaining, or that lives up to your "high standards". If you don't like my threads then don't click on them, don't read them.

That comment form SimplyTheBest is exactly what I'm saying

For a world champion.. he is Unknown.. it's very strange!!

Some of the people on here call themselves hardcore boxing fans as well and watch fights from all over the world and even they haven't caught on to Drozd.

The guys a class act really good to watch, could be world champ for a long time
