LMFAO well fella i do a lot more than that when boxing, i dont put all of my technique on forums.. so i suggest you find a way to get much more co-ordinated because i do this half of the time myself WHILE talking to lads i train telling them what to do..

Maybe its long winded but im telling why this and why that, not just saying DO this and DO that like most trainers that dont know **** do.. thats why its long winded.

One punch the trick is to make all of these little bits feel normal, as standard, we do it using feel and muscle memory, how do you do it?

In boxing wouldn't a jab and a left straight be the same thing for an orthodox fighter? That sounds like some kung-Fu jargon

...Of course i load up jabs.. or just use the loading to move my head to slip a jab and use the jab as a counter for variation from a left hook counter to the same lead. you thought this was special? its very, very basic boxing and biomechanics, try learning to switch hit with good biomechanics and then we are getting a little complicated and then try switch hitting but throwing shots with angle variations, then we are getting complicated, then try the same while establishing angles and loading up shots for openings with single controlled, sharp movements, yet agasin with good bio mechanics, now that is complicated, that is boxing, we are talking very, very basic here. so basic its a bit boring..

no like a jab you dont move your back shoulder you just step i dont know like shift your waist and throw your left

a left straight youd throw after a right straight putting your shoulder and body rotation into it.

A left straight i would refer to as a southpaw punch, i assume hes refering to loading a jab which is done from orthadox stance

a loaded jab was a left straight long before it was a loaded jab.

Yeah that's what I would think a left straight is referring to, from the sounds of it though it sounds like he means a jab after the right is known as a straight left, I'd just call that finishing with the jab personally.

Yes your right ylem anyone can say your doing this and that wrong.. go watch some chris eubank or pacquiao or mayweather and tell me what their doing wrong.. a lot of pros i can say numerous things on their technique but these guys have mastered what they are doing however there are times when i can see things happen during bouts that biomechanically could be better. no one is perfect, but mayweather and pac arent far off lol

any straight left punch that has your waist and right shoulder in it is a left straight.

you would do it after a right as your squared as theres no telegraphing same with throwing it after slipping to the left.

You might as well work on about a billion other muscles while you're doing your grip training and just do some heavy deadlifting.

I wasn't quoting you, try reading my post again.

But I stand by what I said, the technical breakdown being typed here is unecessary and essentially just a waste of screen space.

When I've taught people to throw a power right straight I generally start by making sure their feet are in the right place, that they rotate as they punch(inc. pivot) and that their arm/shoulder travels in the right way - I have found that by ensuring these three things you generally get a good shot out of a beginner without using so many words and confusing the **** out of them.

Yes onepunch im not an academic so to put things into words is quite annoying to say the least, i can also train begginers like you do, but i can also get very technical aswell, like for instance you say to pivot, there is a lot more involved with the feet than simply to pivot, how would you pivot? what trigger muscles are involved in pivoting? what precautions can be taken to avoid losing balance or distributing more to one foot than the other? precautions to avoid losing mobility? or to avoid a lazy right hand? you didnt mention any of this in your brief description of a right hand, i myself like to go into detail, yes your right in what your saying i can over confuse things when putting it down on paper but when someone challanges my knowledge im going to show them how technical i can get, just like anyone else would, like i said i only tried to help on this thread but then you get people looking for arguments and i thought **** it id argue back this time.. lol too much free time on my hands now im winding down for the holidays
