One plausible way Primo Carnera — the "Ambling Alp," a 6'5½"–6'6" tower of a man weighing 260–275+ lbs with an 85-inch reach — scores a brutal knockout against Riddick Bowe (prime version: 6'5", 235–250 lbs, excellent boxer-puncher with fast hands, good jab, and power in both fists) exploits Carnera's sheer size advantage, raw clubbing power, and Bowe's occasional defensive lapses.

Carnera was no technical wizard — his footwork was plodding, his defense porous, and many of his 72+ knockouts came against carefully selected or arranged opposition — but he possessed freakish physicality: massive hands/fists (some of the largest in boxing history), overwhelming reach/height leverage, and clubbing, heavy punches that could fell opponents when they landed clean. He KO'd Jack Sharkey (a solid champion) with a terrific right uppercut to win the title and racked up devastating stoppages through sheer mass and power.

Bowe, at his best, was a skilled, athletic heavyweight who could box on the outside, work the jab, fight effectively inside, and absorb punishment well (he had a solid chin, only losing once by decision to Holyfield in a war and never being truly flattened in his prime losses). Bowe, confident in his power and looking to end it, starts standing in the pocket more to unload hooks and uppercuts — a risky move against a giant who throws clubbing, looping overhand rights and heavy straight rights like tree trunks.

In one such exchange (say, round 7 or 8), Bowe leans in to rip a body hook or uppercut, dipping his head slightly or loading up with his chin exposed for a split second. Carnera, timing the incoming shot with his unnatural reach, uncorks a massive, clubbing right hand (or right uppercut) from high above — leveraging his height to come crashing down like a sledgehammer. The punch lands flush on Bowe's temple or jaw as he's committed forward.

The impact — amplified by Carnera's 270+ lbs of momentum behind it — buckles Bowe's knees instantly. "Big Daddy" staggers back into the ropes, eyes glassy, legs gone from the sheer concussive force of a blow thrown by one of the physically largest men ever to box. Carnera swarms with awkward but devastating follow-ups: a looping left hook that clips the side of the head, then another clubbing right that snaps Bowe's head back violently.

Bowe collapses face-first or sideways in a heap — out cold on impact or shortly after hitting the canvas — as the referee waves it off without a count. It's a brutal, one-punch (or short flurry) KO: Carnera's raw size and power overwhelming Bowe in a moment of over-aggression, turning the fight into a shocking highlight-reel demolition in the mid-to-late rounds.
