I am not sure that I agree.

The first fight had been a major upset.

Frazier held a win over the man who had beaten Foreman, and had just taken him to the brink of disaster.

They were also still both going concerns in the division.

I can see why the fight happened!

Plus maybe a good few believed that Frazier actually stood a chance this time .Foreman s killer rep had taken a nose dive after the jungle, and maybe just maybe ,Frazier could score revenge!

Why Peter Maher and Steve O'Donnel needed to fight multiple times is beyond me. I guess just for some cash.

Tommy Burns must hold the pound for pound record in this category.

He must really have hated Squires!

Winky Wright vs. Bronco Mckart III. I thought Winky won the first two convincingly.

Malignaggi - Ndou is the very definition of this.

Lovemore, to his credit, did a lot better in the rematch, but there was literally no place to go but up since Paulie shut him out the first go around.

Also, Sam Langford fighting Harry Wills 2,310 times, with roughly 2,300 of them being no decisions, seems a bit excessive.

The only sense that the third Moore-Maxim made was that Jack Kearns had an interest in both fighters.

    Napoles-Cokes ll
    Sanchez-Lopez ll
Napoles- Cokes ll was just a couple of months later...same results exactly...Cokes' face resembled a slab of hamburger...only two rounds shorter.
    Sanchez-Lopez ll was pointless.

When you need to pay bills, and no other decent paydays are available, what else was there to do?
