Groves-Adamu : Bull**** stoppage

Just before the last flurry from groves adamu turned his back and kinda ran away looking at his corner.thats when the ref got reali close and the flurry from groves was enuf .

 

i would be gutted if i was a champion and got stopped like that (no rematch please) dilks should be his first defence, the lad has had no luck and should have had the the belt in the first place.groves vs dilks and then maybe vs smith,groves has talent but is having it all his own way at the moment and needs to be tested!

 

I was very impressed with Groves. Best young fighter I have seen from the UK since Darren Barker a few years back. It was not that he won rather the manner that he won for a guy going into a title fight only after 8 fights as a pro. I will be keeping a close eye on him. No pressure but if asked I would pick him over DeGale right now.

 

I was at the fight, I think the stoppage was to do with the Dilks fight earlier in the night, he almost killed a guy with a punch he didn't move for like 15 minutes. Adamu was getting pasted and wobbled all the time, yes it was early but I can see why the ref did it, Groves would have just pummeled him every round. Groves was brilliant he will take over

 

Just watched this and yes it was a terrible stoppage. ****ing awful in fact. That said, Groves looked brilliant. Very very impressive and in only his 9th pro fight. The guy will dismantle Degale the moment they get in the ring together.
