George is on SSN tomoz with an announcement to make according to Kalle Sauerland, any one any insight in to what it may be? Id say it will be a new trainer (my guesses Abel sanchez being fav for me) Moving to LHW (be bloody hard to win a World Belt with Stevenson/Kovalev) or even Retirement? Imo new team have a break and target Chudinovs WBA title or Rematch with Jack.
Doesn't need to go up - not tall enough and a week out from the last fight he looked over trained and a little small if anything...Paddy likeable but he has taken away Groves best attributes
That would be a crazy decision. Groves best chance at a belt are at 168, either against Abraham for his WBO, for the vacant WBA (assuming ward moves up) or a rematch with jack/degale, those are potentially winnable fights. Kovalev and Stevenson would wipe him out and ward would school him unfortunately.
He will be in better shape himself at LHW though, and he doesnt have to box Kovalev or Stevenson there are other routes. However, I would prefer him to retire
Ok... 1) No stamina at SMW 2) His power is leaving him due to the cut getting harder as he gets older 3) Groves could beat Pascal and Braehmer, IMO. Kovalev is a huge threat. Besides him, Stevenson isn't what he was 2-3 years ago. Ward, another powder-puff puncher, is moving up. It's not exactly a division known for hard hitters atm, IMO.
Where did you get that number from, has he said that? Groves doesn't look like he weighs anywhere remotely close to 195lbs to me, looks 180 at the very most.
I have got mates who know him, he use to box at Dale Youth with them. I am telling you he blows up to 14 stone at least. Anyway that is not even a big cut
It's not that it's a big cut, add to that the fact that his style is based heavily on being explosive and he's breathing out of his jacksy within the halfway interval.
DeGale also doesnt last the 12. think there ideal weights would be around 172lbs (175 too big for em and 168 need to drain too much)
