If the appeal fails Groves has to move on with his own career and not waste time chasing something which wont happen.

It wont reflect well on him and he needs to keep active and build on that performance

Well I think he could wait around a bit. Depends on what sort of options are on the table for him and for how longs those offers are still available. I think he could easily delay until Jun/Jul without too much problems.

See i think he needs to be in the ring about that time, then he can easily fit one more fight in this year. Thats why after this appeal is sorted he needs to see what the division can offer elsewhere i think

Hearn is his new Daily Mail column (which isn't too bad actually) states that if Groves takes a fight in the meantime and loses his value to Froch diminishes... and if he wins his demands will be too high for himself and Froch.

That said he does say that he hopes that the fight takes place this year.

Yep, basically Hearn wants Groves on the cheap.

yes groves needs that bigger bargaining chip so he can rightfully claim a 50/50 split , which makes groves stock as they say much higher

Froch would get way less vs Chavez. how much of a cut of the US or Mexican ppv money do you honestly think Chavez and Arum are going to give an unknown fighter to a US audience. As for the Mexican ppv i'd be suprised if Carl even got 10% of that. Froch would get to keep the majority of Sky ppv so really the bulk of his purse comes from that and a Chavez fight would very likely bomb on ppv in the UK

Froch isn't really an 'unknown fighter' over there though due to the super six. Either way I agree that he would make far more against Groves.
