yeah? how do you score going to your knees? not a slip, just falling to your knees? its pro boxing, not amateur, aggression and initiating the fight count here

There was maybe a round or two in it. Dirrell spent more time holding than punching. The shots he landed were light slaps. When froch landed it put his opponent into reverse.

That can.be scored as the more effective work.

Bollocks. ''Iniatiating the fight'' scores you more than punches that actually land? Dont give me that. Whether or not Dirrell fell to his knees or not doesn't eradicate the fact he landed the better, cleaner punches. People might not be fond of the way he acted, but make no mistake, that was a Dirrell victory.

you haven't watched this fight in a while, have you. Froch barely landed.

Dirrell landed 10-15 head snapping blows on Froch. But this has been discussed. Review the film.

''When'' being the important word there. Highlighting the fact that he very rarely landed anything. Dirrell hurt Froch more in the 11th than Froch hurt Dirrell in any other round.

Dirrell definitely landed the cleaner shots and I don't think you can get away from that, however what about effective aggression and ring generalship? He ran away and spoiled for 12 solid rounds and did very little work in there. I can't remember exactly how I scored it in truth but I had Froch in a narrow lead. I can see how some had Dirrell winning but not for me.

How can your aggression be effective when you land nothing? That doesn't make sense. He didn't come to entertain, but what Dirrell did do was do enough to deserve the victory.

Who gives ****? The right man won.

If you want a champion representing our sport who runs, fakes, clinches, with the heart of a coward that's your problem. It's only a slight majority who thought he won anyway.

Get behind Ward you douchebags and dump Dirrell on the trash heap.

Why should Froch give Dirrell a rematch?

Surely the whiny little **** ought to earn one......

Froch has got Johnson and probably Ward next, before eyeing Bute and returns with Pascal and maybe Kessler.

Dirrell is well and truly on the outer, and it's all his own doing.

Don't be so pompous. I had Dirrell ahead when I watched it live. But the simple truth is he made the early rounds close by running away. It's perfectly reasonable to score some of the early rounds to froch.

But with the point deduction, the constant holding and running away all the time, I have no real problem with the score going against him.

I dont dispute the fact that Dirrell is an imbecile by the way. And it's his own fault that all of this has transpired against him, but he beat Froch.

Froch came to fight, Dirrell came to steal the WBC belt.

No way should you be able to claim the world championship belt by running for 12 rounds.
Although I agree Dirrell did land a few more cleaner looking punches, I still had Froch winning by 3 rounds.

    I just hate Dirrells style....

I dislike Dirrel and respect Froch but I agree with you, I cannot find any way that Froch won the fight. Dirrell landed significantly more and was in control of the fight in my opinion. Horrible fight though, no way I would like to see a rematch. Plus, Froch has no reason to look back if he doesn't want to, he's fought the best he can in the division up to now and will soon fight the other main men. He doesn't have to give anyone a rematch if he doesn't want to

By doing what? Runing, and falling to the floor whining for the FULL 12 rounds making it one of the worst fights ever.

    He got what he deserved..Nothing!

Is the general forum leaking or something?
