excellent performance by groves last night but realy dont like the low left hand, spending too much time watching david haye i think, never seen him in the ams so he may have boxed like this all along but feel hes not ready for smith yet, paul smith is a hardened pro with a good solid chin who would at some point land on groves, all credit for taking the risk too both men if the fight is made

Groves is different class to Smith, and I have been saying that before he destroyed the crude Adamu. That performance just reinforces my opinion.

    Is Smith ready for Groves?

I think not. Neither is euro champ Magee either in my opinion. Groves is the best domestic fighter right now (bar Froch obviously) although I don't know if he'll be able to prove it for a while. Warren is talking about getting Smith a world title shot (I know....) sooner rather than later so I don't know why he would send him in with such a red hot young gun like Groves for?

I doubt Smith will want to fight him.

My thoughts too. As I said before, Warren won't be to enthusiastic about it either.... lining him up for his very own sanctioning body world title. :-(

if smith takes the fight with groves , there is only one winner ,smith talks a goood fight but is very dull when in between the ropes , quigley & dodson a perfect example , if smith was to win it would be much the same as his previous wins , at the end of the day he is bc but you can only ride so much luck and watching groves last night smith may well need some ,

kenny anderson has the potental to KO any SMW in the UK. I beleive that he is without doubt the biggest pucher out of the lot of them when he lands.

I've got the potential to get off this forum and do something with my life, doesn't mean there's much chance of that happening though.

Groves need some refining but he is a better talent than Smith. However Smith is now VERY experienced having been on The Contender, Brit champ, rivalries etc Some boxers take that with a pinch of salt (i.e. Floyd fighting Hernandez) so Groves might just step up, dominate and move on.

I hope he does because we need another Brit with more class. Smith is not world class, Groves MIGHT BE.

we still havent seen groves really tested have we?! he will have to mentally very strong to go 12 rounds with smith so if the fight ever happens, which wont any time soon, then we will see what he's really made of :good
