It's clear from these pictures Groves landed all the punches (Just like Jim Watts said). Froch clearly never hurt Groves.

Oh wait.........Groves' face looks f*cked up compared to Frochs - but how can that be!?!?!!?

Froch's face = left side marks only.

Groves face = black & blue. Both sides, immense swelling around cheeks and eyes.

But weren't we lead to believe Froch was 'dominated'? How can Groves face have so many marks if Froch wasn't hitting him back? You think Aliens maybe did this?

Didn't watch the fight did you? Froch obviously landed some punches. Groves just landed more.

First, you don't juge by the faces of opponents. Some guys swell more easily then other.
Second, you juge by rounds, meaning: if all that damage was done in one round, it could still mean that the other fighter won all the other rounds.

Fights aren't judged by how many marks there on on a guys face. It's about how many punches are landed and how many rounds are won and Groves landed more and won more rounds. You can land a punch and leave a mark or you can land a punch and leave no mark so marks on the face are irrelevant. Not to mention these things called body shots. Silly thread.

    So george won more rounds...

Yet got his face bashed in, in just ONE round? Wow....he must have taken a beating! Was that round 9?

Who had the more damaged face in the Lewis/Vitali fight and who do you think was winning that one?

Plus I saw Froch's interview on Skysports today and his face was a mess.

some people just tend to swell/cut more easily than others, doesn't mean they won. Lara had a huge knot on his head after the Williams fight but he kicked William's ass.

That being said, i truly just didn't see Groves making it another 3 1/2 rounds. He was hurt and wobbled and Froch was landing more often in the 8th and 9th than he had been all fight. Groves had also lost most of his pop and speed and Froch was starting to walk him down and had lost respect for his power, for it simply wasn't the same power Groves had earlier in the fight. While on the contrary Froch still very much had his power and Froch has proven to be able to fight 12 hard rounds before.

I honestly believe we as boxing fans were robbed of a memorable come from behind KO.

We can cut this stupid thread short by pointing out that the way someone's face looks after he takes a few punches in no way counts toward the scoring of the fight.

    Goodbye, school boy. End thread.

Groves took punches in rounds 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. He still arguably won all of those except round 9. Some of those rounds were close. Groves dominated the fight overall. Some rounds were close but the only round Froch clearly win was the 1st half of round 9. This thread isn't going to convince anyone that Groves wasn't in complete control for 7 rounds. It's just making you look like a delusional fanboy.
