Groves DeGale – The closer It gets, the more I think Groves wins by KO.

I like your angle on this.

My thoughts are that JDG is the more gifted technically, but that Gentleman George has a greater heart and determination and is the tougher - not to say that JDG has no heart.

I can really see this being a barnstormer and the most relevant domestic dust-up available.

 

Groves is undeniably getting the better sparring, and in any interviews I've seen he's been relaxed and focussed while DeGale seems to have lost his cool and composure can play a big part. This is a massive night for them both. Having not been under any considerable pressure within the ring it may have been a mistake to put the immature DeGale in this fight with this much pressure.

Grove's has a tendency to be quite 'hot-headed' and it would appear DeGale is hoping that George goes in there all gun's blazing, it's been referred to for example in the (Sky Sports) Ringside interview.

If you'd indulge my imagination for a second because I can imagine the scenario where the reverse may happen;

George's corner who will be very aware of the fact George is so hot headed may have been drumming into George the need to box clever. When James doesn't have everything going to plan, unable to play matador to George's 'Bull' he'll be getting frustrated and losing his cool, allowing George to be the one to throw those counter flurries that seem to be all the rage with these Booth fighters. I fancy George as the bigger puncher and he should get opportunities to check James' chin.

Speculation, and maybe wishful thinking I know.

 

I hope he does it( Groves) could'nt back degale after that episode on ringside. Hype aside, you can still see degales a bit of a nob

 

The difference in attitude is startling. Groves is over with world-class fighters, where he’s not a star and where he needs to prove himself everyday. Degale is with people who suck his boaby every training session, sparring with guys who can’t ever hope to hurt him.

Degale is one of the most obnoxious examples of a modern sportsman in recent memory. He’s got an ego that his actual talent will never cash.

 

DeGale is overrated as a pro. I'm glad people are coming around to my way of thinking.

Plus it would be great if Booth got one over Warren again. I'll never forget the Enzo-Haye build up.

 

When DeGale talks I cringe. He thinks he can trash talk like Naz or Ali but he just sounds like a angry special needs child. Idiot.

Who fights nothing like Groves, sadly. And I wouldn't rate Clev all that highly right now. He put on a shocker last time out.

This is going to be a brilliant fight! Groves has what seems the best camp so far and I really hope he wins. Groves has also fought the harder fights out of the 2 of them as a pro and I wonder how flash he would look against some of the guys Degale has fought.

With the quality sparring George is getting i now give him more of a chance, but i still see DeGale winning by stoppage.
