thats what i thought mate but Bellew kept his light-heavy british title after the clev fight so i dont really know how it works.

Regardless of whats happening I dont think he's active enough to be learning / improving, he needs to be get a bit busier if he wants to win titles, fair play going for this title shot if he doesnt pull out that is, I think its a bit early for him!

I think it's a great fight for Groves, Stieglitz that is. Even if he loses, so what? He's fighting good opposition so it doesn't matter.

Anyways, I think he's got a great chance at beating Steelguts, at the very least he'll give a very good account of himself.

I think it European title you have to drop if fighting for a 'World ' title

Even if he loses, there's no shame in that as long as you improve from it.

    HELLO mAYERS,HOPE YOUR WELL!

the way it works is if you dont have a mandatory then you can fight for a world without having to drop the british, like Bellew did when he fought clev ,casue he didnt have a mandatory then

but groves has anderson as a mandatory ,and the rescheduled date is basically just to keep the board happy as he will still be down to defend the belt

So basically its bull****! surely winning or losing against Steiglitz he isnt going to fight again in 6 weeks or something like that! pointless excersize to keep the paperwork up to date so nothing looks out of sort. or as stated initially. BULL****!

i dont know if it is or if it is intention to try and stage the fight ,i just find it hard to beleive that groves would actually schedule fight on that day after fightign for a world title in May .

maybe if it was a journayman in a 6/8 rounder then fair enough but not against a world champion and then to fight someone as good as Anderson
