Eubank needs to get another bum under his resume again ASAP. Get the hype train rolling again but this time under the guidance of a real coach and a top one at that. Drop back down to middleweight and destroy a few bums and hope for a BJS rematch - especially if he loses to GGG or Canelo down the line. Even Danny Jacobs would be a big fight for him.

The fact the Eubank has got to where he has with no trainer + lacking a jab, foot work and head movement is actually mad. But he's what 28(?) now and needs to realise that these are all things which need changed if he's to perform at world level. The way he currently is, any top level fighter with good foot work and a jab will beat him, simple as that.

More than likely, the bad habits have set in for too long.... in hindsight, he should've stuck with Adam Booth rather than bring in his mate to hold the pads while he reels of 135,000 uppercuts.

He needs to move back down to Middleweight (he struggled with the size of Groves), make adjustments within camp and then go from there. Although that said, I'd still fancy him at SMW against Truax or Degale (based on his last performance). Degale showed no authority with the jab, Truax was walking through him and he backs up / sits on the ropes which will only work in Eubank's favour.

As for Groves, it does make me laugh the amount of people who have been saying he's shot, on the slide etc. Yes he is a different fighter to the one we seen against Froch.... he's matured and more experienced + more importantly in the form of his career.

The Groves of Froch 1 would have probably gone looking for Eubank in the numerous times he had him buzzed, but with experience he's learned his lesson and didn't chase everything - therefore as evident in the fight on the weekend, he didn't walk into a stupid shot, switch off or gas (actually being the fresher man in the later rounds - bar looking ragged in the last which was down to the arm injury).

I've not seen it mentioned anywhere but after about 30 seconds of the first round Eubank looked absolutely terrified. I don't think he really counted on the physical difference between him and Groves once they were in the ring, and that combined with seeing him sat back behind his jab with the right hand cocked really threw him. Hence no attempt to work his way in.

Eubank will never get inside fundamentally without a straight right hand.

Look at how most boxers get inside...most of the time its not due to amazing footwork...or jabbing their way in. Which is a hard thing to do at that level if the opponent doesn't want you on the inside. They all have counters waiting on you etc.
The most successul way fighters transition onto the inside....is by taking the opportunities that present themselves from fighting on the outside.

Eubanks biggest problem is he can't fight successully on the outside without a straight right hand. He then becomes far too predictable...in that he needs to get inside to have any sort of success.

My moneys on Davies and eubank senior knowing that. Hence why they,ve let him neglect footwork, boxing on the outside etc. Even if you stick very good footwork on eubank...he,ll still find it very difficult to get on the inside with someone that knows how to control distance or has good footwork without being comfortable fighting on the outside. It will always be too predictable.

He,ll still get some success at middleweight if he goes go back down...he,ll overpower guys or tire them out at his natural weight. George still has them flaws...will just take the right opponent to bring them out. He's a terrific fighter groves...always has been a nightmare to fight for anyone. Guys like chudinov, cox and eubank who we,re both middleweights won't reveal them flaws tho. That's why eubank was shellshocked early didn't bank on the size/strength difference. It left him with no real way to win apart from doing what he done threw from too far out and hoped for the best.

The fight was even until Junior got cut and from then on he couldn't see out of his right eye properly. People saying it was to the side of the eye should realise everytime you blink the pupil fills with blood from there. If you look back he does some good work early on in rounds (when the cut is greased) and then starts to look wild (after it opens up again)

Not suggesting he would have beaten Groves without it but he might have had more success and accuracy during the fight. Notice also how the ref completely ignored it (or perhaps he was ignoring the vaseline).

    Fight was even lol

If anyone picked jnr they clearly 'know **** about boxing

No jab , no outside game , poor feet , average power

He's not world level . Never had been.

If he swallowed his stupid ego he could be great has all the attributes to do well. Heart , desire , toughness in boatloads.

Why doesn't he just stop acting a clown and get a trainer? Dull ****

I didn't pick Junior to win.

Just going by the judges cards, 2-1 with 9 rounds to go. 1st and 2nd to Groves and 3rd to Eubank.

I backed Groves to win and Groves KO 10-12.

A lot of bitterness towards the Eubanks but I find it hard to believe people actually took these clowns seriously. We all knew before the fight Eubank had poor movement, sloppy footwork and a gammy elbow but has good fitness, aggression and volume. He came up against a experienced world class boxer in Groves and got found out. I watched the fight live and while you cant see much from one angle at distance what you can appreciate is boxers movement. It was crystal clear by the middle of the second round that Groves had the measure of Eubank, he was controlling the range perfectly and neutralising Eubanks attacks. Groves and Mcguigan got their tactics spot on while Juniors only tactic is to blast people out but Jr's a small SMW not known for one punch power against Groves who is proven in battle. Facts were all there on paper but only some of us could see it. Personally I give Jr some credit for getting in there and giving it a go and bringing it until the final bell. Regardless of him being a shocking boxer, he still has enough to get most fringe contenders out of there at both weights.

Groves summed it up perfectly after the fight "he was strong, he was aggressive but that obviously wasn't enough tonight".

Eubank Jr on the cut: "a cuts a cut you deal with it"

For those who say Chris Eubank Sr is deluded:
