That rematch clause has expired now absolutely no way they'll fight again, Bute is looking for a big money Canadian show down with Pascal although by the time this fight happens Pascal won't have fought in years.

No I don't think it would be and yes I think you're right about Groves-DeGale2 for a vacant title

Dangerous fight for Froch IMHO. I think he wins but Froch can be his own worst enemy when he switches off. He can't take Groves or DeGale lightly.

No fight can be taken lightly but Froch beats both for me and De Gale more comfortably than Groves

I can't see Groves or Degale for that matter having the slightest chance of beating Froch at present. Groves is a bit chinny, I can see that one being a repeat of the Bute fight, even if it's not so early sooner or later Froch is just going to blast him out of there. Degale's got a solid chin but he's too easy to hit at present and lacking a big punch, Froch walks through him and gives him a beating. They're both in a good place rankings wise but really they're both still little more than novices. They each need a couple of stiff tests before challenging the likes of Froch.

At the end of the day... Eddie won't want it & Booth certainly won't want it, yet.

This won't happen this year, Groves will go WBC (Bika) in October, IBF will give a exception and Froch will fight a Mac type in Notts again, setting up big unification in summer 14.

For what it's worth, I reckon...

Eddie gets Froch to step aside and he takes the Kessler fight on HBO. It's one of the 4 names they were keen on. That way it stays PPV.

Groves then gets a shot at a mysterious new entry into the IBF rankings and wins the title.

Groves v Froch is then signed for next Spring / Summer as a unification and goes on PPV again, with the unification used as the reason for it.

If he's smart, DeGale goes after Bika or Steiglitz and then comes to the party with a belt of his own too.

I've got a feeling it will end up being Groves fighting the Oosthuizen/Gonzalez ll winner for the vacant belt or for the "final eliminator".

Froch did say if Groves was made mandatory he would likely take it before a Ward re-match.

Froch hasnt got too long left, be good for him to shut up both Groves and DeGale before retiring.
