Exactly at the time of the fight like both fighters for different reasons Groves being a local fighter to me & only heard good things about him as a person.

Froch I can put his personality to one side he has changed it seems for the better not.

I won't deny him one thing one tough SOB who's fights have entertained long journey from being on Grandstand tape recorded BBC 1 on a Saturday afternoon between races he shouldn't forget that either.

It won't happen now. Public outrage has calmed down. They can just about get away with dodging the re-match, unfortunately.

    Feel bad for George.

Don't talk shite. Public outrage hasn't calmed down. We the fans DEMAND a rematch.. I mean what more can we do.. I'm up for Kidnapping Howard Foster and Burning his feet? If Carl Froch doesn't rematch Groves then he better retire IMO.

    Are u for real.

Kenny was out on his feet. Degale what was the point in a rematch Degale even said himself recently its good that he and George could fight for a world title in the rematch.

With Froch and Groves you just can't compare it to the above. Surely u get that and

It was for a world title.
Froch was taking big punishment and the fight got stopped because of reputations.
We didn't see if George can come back from being hurt in a world title fight.
    Could he go 12 rounds.

Think George needs to set a deadline and move on. Got a feeling sky and matchroom will make the fight happen for June July but part of me reckons that George will get screwed out of a rematch. Eddie and Froch could offer shocking terms. Easy way to get out and might stop the haters for a bit.

My point as time goes by Froch seems to be rewriting history

What I would like him to say is that it was great tough fight and the fans want a rematch........but Froch will have you believe the fans just wanna see him knock out GG and go one better than his previous 'dominant'erformance

Froch now paints a picture of a fight that he dominated which is wrong

I ain't saying Froch wouldn't have stopped GG, what I'm saying is most fans want the rematch cause they felt GG got short changed from an early stoppage.......the truth

Froch will tell us his worldwide fan base want to see him shut GG up once and for all ....which isn't the truth

That's what i fear mate. Groves was on Buncey's Boxing show a couple of weeks back and apparently he's got offers on the table, but the rematch is obviously his first choice.
Hearn wasn't meant to be happy because George never signed a rematch clause if he beat Froch. Groves said he never signed one because he expected to beat Froch and because he knew he would get payed, plus there was terms and he never wanted to be tied down to Hearn. People need to remember it wasn't just Froch who Groves was fighting that night.

Yea I watched that came across well I thought just hope if it comes to negotiations George has the right people behind him. Look at it this way Froch somehow gets nicely pressured into having the rematch. Pounds signs and all no way team Froch will give Groves a fair deal. Like u say Eddie could tie George down. In a way if they ever say terms were offered shame it cant be made public.

Keep saying Robert Stieglitz is a good fight if Froch cant be made. Then let Degale go WBC route

Don't forget Froch was claiming the fans were booing at the end because they wanted to see Groves taken out on a stretcher

Exactly! Its obvious Froch doesn't want the fight, but " if " it happens then he will want Groves to more or less fight for free. And i cant see Hearn doing the rematch unless he's got Groves tied down, But as you say if they ever say terms were offered shame it cant be made public because it would prove Hearns trying to monopolise and it isn't just a myth.

    You're fairly obviously a Londoner.

Anderson was no more out on his feet than Groves was earlier in the fight. As for "what was the point" you could ask exactly the same about Froch and Groves. Most thought Groves lost the Degale fight, he got a bit of luck and had not established that he was the better man.

Whilst they are different situations, you either believe that a fighter should give the rematch to clear things up once and for all, or you don't. Groves in this instance thinks Froch somehow owes him a rematch but wasn't willing to give Degale one.

"He can't be proud of how he took the title tonight. Everyone said they had me by one or two rounds. I want a rematch as soon as" - James Degale

"I'm pretty sure I can find a better opponent than James Degale" - George Groves (he fought Paul Smith, who Degale had already stopped)

Exactly mate, it seems if you support groves you have to completely ignore what froch did in the fight.

terry tibbs I always thought you make a fair assessment, but your hate for froch is clouding your judgement
