:rofl If he is going to fight Garcia next he will get stopped again and this time there will be no coming back. But I am guessing Virgil will know better than to put him in with Garcia again
Really disappointed and bemused, all the talk of being a changed fighter was a joke. I never expected him to be a changed fighter, but expected him to be a smarter fighter and just be in and out, not hanging around, limiting Molina chances of catching Amir with anything of note. Amir's a gifted fighter, sadly lacks the IQ and the temperament to fight, a disciplined fight[bar Kotelnik], and will be the sole reason that he'll never make it to that elite level. Was annoyed with the commentary, he never looked great in there. He resorts to pitter-patter punches and doesn't plant his feet when he punches, he definitely has a lot more power to offer. He did look more composed towards the end of the fight, with that being said, he'll need a prayer if comes up against Garcia.
I'm really dissapointed and bemused with your post to be honest. If you can't see that Khan made a few improvements, as much as can be expected from one training camp, then I suggest you go join the window lickers in the general forum.
Johnny Nelson: He's not chinny and Molina can punch. Moore and McCrory: His punch resistance isn't great and Molina can't punch. Thank god they're not in studio together
Personally thought he was slightly more patient, changed the angles more and also used his left as a range finder.
Fighting a disciplined fight for Khan has nothing to do with boxing technique/improvement. It’s about him using his brain for once and knowing his own limitations. He was still trying to get in a tear up in the first few rounds. You would have thought he would have learned his lesson after his defeat to Garcia. He should have constantly fought on the outside behind his jab, similar to what Wlad does. He was so open, and at various times during the earlier rounds Molina caught him flush, had that been someone with decent power, they would have made Khan pay and we would be talking about another Khan loss.
Anyone who thinks Khan has made these changes is living in the Land of Nod When he steps into the ring with a decent opponent and not another Salita / ***an, then you will see Khan performing a new rendition of Samba Bamblina within four rounds. Khan could have won this fight years ago. I was actually surprised to see Khan leaving himself wide open during his powerless 6 punch flurries. Roach was bang on the money about not being able to change a fighters characteristics.
