As long as its a step up be good to see him fight again in July. Brian Magee, Karoly Balaszay, Dimitri Sartison, Maxim Vlasov, Jermain Taylor, Badou Jack would be good opponents before a World title in September/October.
It's not going to be against anybody remotely that good. It'll be an undercard fight over eight rounds.
This,September he might fight one of the guys rob mentions or even against Stiglitz,in July it will be a keep busy fight in Hull
Just fight an opponent who can give him some rounds and who wont fall over when the first decent punch lands. Also one with a little bit of boxing skills would be great. Please no Alcobas or Barrakats anymore.
will this be his lastfight under Matchroom i thought it was 3 fight deal but the fight in Germany did not count so under matchroom Groves career has not progressed at all
Can see him taking an 8rounder in usa. Sartisan would be good in september if his promotional issues are over.
Yeh,I forgot the one they are going to announce this week for the 6th of July according to an Ifilm interview.I wonder what will be the headline fight for that now Ryder-Saunders won`t be happening on this show.I think Mitchell will finaly be announced this week also.
Has this been talked about?Agree it would be great to see him so active and no apparent reason why not,but can't see it really.Of your suggestions,Rob,I like Magee the least.Hes been a good un but surely not now.The same with Taylor.Probably by far the best of the lot in his day.Checked Boxrec and although I don't know much about them,Id say Vlasov and Jack would be really good step ups.Although I still think Georges best opponent has been James Degale.

can't see why this would be case. when groves signed for match room the plan was to headline his own show after being on undercard of froch v kessler.
I think it would be great if he fought in July and then again in Sept{so long as Brians not in the other corner}but I really can't see it.
