lets be real groves last 3 fights under matchroom have been no johnson some guy in the usa and paul ****ing smith

  2. Paul smith could fight, and beat , all three of George's last opponents in one night

that's how bad they have been

but I aint against it too much as he has been busy but he needs a top 10 - 15 smw fighter now

Nonsense. Paul Smith has never shown an ability to blast through guys with shaky punch resistance.

    Agreed.

Groves just should fight a decent super middleweight. Not a guy who already was outclassed in his prime many years ago. Who also was a middleweight in his best years and who was stopped easy by Stevenson.
This was the main support for a PPV event????

Don't worry mate. Groves will be relieving Stieglitz of his title in September.

Groves-Stieglitz will be a good fight and could make a Froch-Groves fight even bigger (if Groves wins).
But it will be a very hard fight for Groves. Stieglitz already has beaten better guys than Groves.

Guys who may have been better (or sturdier opposition) on paper. Groves will handle Stieglitz comfortably.

In the absence of avatars I am willing to risk all with a ban bet. How about it?

No not only on paper Stieglitz beat guys who already were world champions and good fighters. You are a fool if you think Groves will have an easy fight with Stieglitz.
And I dont bet. Because I think it would be a close fight so why should I take this risky bet?

Am I the only one who rates Groves highly?

Look, how about I stack the bet in your favour? If Groves wins a points decision by more than 5, or wins by stoppage within the first 8 rounds by stoppage you take a hike for a month. If the scores are by a narrower margin, or should Stieglitz win, i'll do the same. Deal?

Groves is a class act in the ring. A disciplined boxer and he carries very decent power. Beautiful piston-like straight jab too. Shame he doesn't have Froch's chin though else he'd be a shoo-in world champion.

And what is when the stoppage is only by a lucky punch and Stieglitz was outworking Groves? And what if the score cards are crap? (like 118:110 for Froch last night?) I wont post anything here if Groves has and easy night against Stieglitz. (If this fight happens). Stieglitz already has beaten many great fighters. Like Balzsay who at that time was trained by Fritz Sdunek and seen as good champion. He stopped Abraham and hurt him like nobody else could do. I will be VERY suprised if Groves has an easy fight with Stieglitz.
Just ask you a question... why did Groves not fought Stieglitz already? He was mandatory as far I know. He also was at the Abraham-Stieglitz II fight and said he wants to fight the winner next.

BTW. get Sartison in there with Groves. A guy who went 12 rounds with hard hitters like Kessler and Balzsay!!! Groves can make a statement by stopping Sartison! He does not make statements with stopping guys like Barrakat or Alcoba.:patsch
