****ing hell, that would be even worse than Manfredo. Reid was great in heyday but he's 42 or 43 now. Fought last year against an abysmal Kenny Anderson and still got stopped. Absolutely shot to ****.

The Grim Reaper should retire permanently. I like to remember him as he was, not as he is now.

    Sartison would be decent enough.

Magee would be a very good fight for Groves at this stage in his career - he's still young and learning, no need to rush things.

As said mate,I appreciate Im in the minority in not liking the fight. But Brians gone downhill a bit and rather than compare how Groves does as opposed to Froch,Bute,Kessler, etc.Id rather he fought an American, possibly a bit younger and fresher.Cant think of one off top of my head but Im sure there is somebody.Agree with you its not a bad fight for Groves.Id watch on TV but wouldn't pay to go and see it though.

Groves-Andre Dirrell would be a good potential bout.

That's fight has been mentioned a few times in the last couple of years. Dirrell and Groves are good mates, sparred together many times. Would be a good fight but maybe it's never happened because their friendship gets in the way?

    Not for Groves it ain't.

If it does happen I hope the bookies think it will be competitive.

 I don't think so, its not like ward and dirrell who have been childhood friends. Dirrell just helped him get ready for degale, they probably seen each other a few times after that, trust me they would fight if the money was right.

Fair enough then. I'd like the fight to be honest. Dirrell gave Froch the run-around in their fight back when Carl was a bit like Groves is now. I think he could definitely beat George if he just showed more bollox cause that's what lost him the fight against Froch.

Id rather somebody in between Magee and Dirrell to be honest.I really rate Dirrell, couldn't separate him and Carl,in Nottingham as well.Plus he was the first to show how to outbox Abraham.Hes been inactive and there may just be something lacking, but as someone who likes Groves, not without a title at stake.

seriously manfredo is shot to **** imo

  15. Dirrell although inactive would probaly be too good for George
At this stage,it's a fine line matchmaking but progression is what George needs and a genuine supermiddle

A good European has been mentioned and that would
Be ideal or how about Allan green or has he gone to light
Heavy that would be a tough step up and a good fight

Best of all would have been degale 2 that would have been great support bout but too short notice now for a shout like that
