Having an argument with my mate he's convinced it will be shown on Boxnation and I'm telling him the fight won't be televised over here and he still thinks it will be because boxnation generally show the full card.
It will also be about putting into practice things he's learning in the gym in preparation for a big fight. Booth has repeatedly said he's not seeing the things he sees in the gym in the ring, and he won't step Groves up until he sees those things done in the ring. Makes sense to me.
so Groves signed a 3 fight deal and that deal will be done by the Froch Kessler fight. wonder if he is planning on going back to FW they seemed on pretty good terms when Groves left.
Last time out Groves just seemed to be mimicking Haye's crouching, hunting type body movements rather than throw any actual punches to draw him on, i understand doing it in parts but Groves was virtually waiting all round for a gap to 'appear'.
He won't go back to Frank, apparently they split as they see his career going in seperate directions and doesn't want to fight for European title, yet Hearn says they may look at getting him that fight, they've agreed what's best for both parties and us ingrates know why they split and it suits both parties
He's fighting Baker Barakat, who lost to Scott Dixon in Malta in August. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=342786&cat=boxer
I did some research on Baker a while back. He's a tough dog so may take Groves to around 3-4 rounds but for me this isn't about getting rounds because if you did you'd want someone a fair bit better to give you something. For me this leads me to believe this is a set up for Groves to fight the winner of main event on the night at the O2.
Possibly but what if its a tough 12 round fight will 8 weeks be long enough for Abraham to rest and get fully prepared? If it finishes early its a possibility but with only 8 weeks between fights I can't see if myself.
Not a bad fight at such short notice, will the winner of AA/Steiglitz want to fight so soon afterwards?
