Swimming might be a bit dangerous mate, he might swallow too much sea water & not be able to make 168
Moan all you want but he's a young lad.. if he goes into a fight where he's not 100% and gets beat then he has to pick himself up and rebuild when it could be avoided. Stieglitz is a winnable fight for him and more than anyone Groves will be devastated about having to pull out.
SUP. MIDDLEWEIGHT (168 lbs) (76.20 kgs) CHAMPION ROBERT STIEGLITZ GER 1 Arthur Abraham (WBO Europe) ARM 2 Mikkel Kessler DK 3 George Groves GB 4 Andre Dirrell USA 5 James DeGale GB 6 Anthony Dirrell USA 7 Adonis Stevenson (NABO) HTI 8 Kelly Pavlik USA 9 Nikola Sjekloca SER 10 Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna (Latino) ARG 11 Willberforce Shihepo (WBO Africa) NAM 12 Maxim Vlasov RUS 13 Edwin Rodriguez DR 14 Renan St. Juste CAN 15 Nader Hamdan (Asia-Pacific) AUST I can't see Abraham being ready for a May bout, think they'd all prefer to let that one have a full camp and build up out there. Stevenson or DeGale look most likeliest IMO. Stevenson fighting this weekend, The Dirrell's won't step foot out the USA IMO.
Only person I feel sorry for is Anderson! It will either be DeGale or perhaps Abraham with the date pushed back? Can't rule out Pavlik getting the call! He is a name still!
From Kennys FB Poor George really feel for him having to pull out of another fight through "injury" hope his back, toe, nose, bottle or whatever is wrong with him gets better before the 30th June.
Seriously though what's with all these new days being chucked around. If Groves was really injured from the Anderson fight, surely they should've made sure that was sorted before blabbing off about fighting for a world title. Now that he's pulled out of that injured, they're now on about 30th June for another Anderson fight. If he's injured, just let him recover ffs. If not, then ****ing fight someone.
