Hearing everyday he holds the best he loses around 5k. Fair bit of dough for a belt he used in a **** poor joke.
£4500 fine Jamie Moore has said to someone on another forum they posted it. Still a fair wack for a **** poor joke with the best belt in the biz..
hes in america now and he can fight in england without those crooks trying to take his belt under LUX
Shame they demeaned it with a fight against shot, broken down Reid. Not much of a British champion is Kenny in these circumstances.
Well someone has to fight for the title and sadly the division is lacking in depth so bad that Reid was the only viable fighter outside of Smith. Mendy i dunno what happened to that guy, Smith is still on comeback and may need a tune up after a lengthy injury. So for all the flack i give the board, they did the right thing stripping the belt from Groves who had no desire to defend it. Anderson vs Reid were the only guys who could compete for it so i would say they didn't demean there title. And TBF to Reid he performed a damn sight better then McPhilbin, Leon Williams and many others who've fought for other British titles in past year. Still it's no big win for Kenny, Don't think he's claiming it is either he knows it was just about winning the British title.
Which pretty clearly devalues the title. I agree that Groves should have vacated, that wasn't fair on Anderson. But it's also utterly sad that Anderson struggled with Reid, who's so far gone he could stuck inside a cannon and used to shred ships' sails. The board should have held off until Smith was back in the mix, IMO, before claiming this was a genuine British fight. The belt means nothing if you won it off a guy who's done nothing in recent memory.
Well the end of the day there's no clear signal of when and where Smith will be back. Reid's display showed the title was in no way devalued, he was ahead in the fight. Making Anderson look bad in the process, sadly for him he couldn't carry out the pkan and Kenneth took him out. There two of the better British fighters domestically under Groves and DeGale and Magee which shows how drastically the drop is from them to Anderson and Reid. The board cannot just say ''Sorry Robin, we think your shot now even though you sparked a top 10 ranked domestic fighter in Cadman (not rating him) so sorry please retire and leave it to Paul Smith who's on Boxnation and hasn't boxed in around a year.''. Reid and Anderson wasn't a quality British title fight, but all titles have bad bouts. This actually wasn't as bad as many feared and well done to Robin for a valliant display.
Which sums up how limited Anderson is. Cue Dunky jumping in that Anderson was biding his time. They absolutely could have and, if Reid is considered top ten, that pretty much sums up how much the British title is worth. Groves won it off DeGale, who won it off Smith, etc. Anderson was basically given it against an old, shot Reid. He's not a champion.
I think were in two different discussions, You seem to want to have a dig at Kenny . I know your not a fan, Sure Dunky will come in at some point . No Kenny was mandatory contender, Yes we know he fought low level guys. But end of the day he was active and winning and in a poor division domestically when you take out the major 4 it's got him a shot. He's been forced to wait on Groves for a year, why then would it be fine for him to wait on Smith who's been injured and even at times spoke of moving back to middleweight. The guy's been messed about, Reid's won some fights against domestic fighters in Cadman and Reed. Neither are great but in the climate of that division give him a chance. Yes Reid was in the top 10, i take it you haven't looked at how low level the talent pool is outside of the top guys. It's not great, but Reid didn't devalue the title at all. They wasn't and rightly so gonna tell Reid to leave it, and TBH if he won on Saturday he'd of mugged many off. Kenny won, good luck to him. He can always say he's British Champion. Made history as well, not bad for a fighter man claim isn't very good. I feel he's limited, but ain't always a bad thing when you dig well :yep.
You seem to be agreeing and disagreeing with me at the same time. The belt, in and of itself, means nothing. It's who you beat to win it, or who you beat defending it.
