End of the day, We could say the same about every belt in boxing. The British title will always remain the most prestigious. For me Reid was the best of a very average bunch. In context compared to other titles we've seen guys ridiculously shot fighters still contest world titles and were talking about a domestic title and both guys are top 10 British SMW's that's the plain truth really. I don't think Saturday night devalued it personally, Wasn't great but it was hardly Leon Williams vs Shane McPhilbin.
It's cool, mate, I know where you're coming from too. You know the guy and you probably read those stories and wonder whether it's the same guy. I completely understand that and I know that if I ever met Anderson, there's a chance that I'd see him in a different light too. All I can go by is the things I've read though and it's not good at all. I genuinely hope you're right and I'm wrong about him though.
Real talk, if he had accepted his am defeat (which he won imo) with good grace, there would of been no clamour for them to fight so soon when they did, degale would probably of defended the belt against Lenny himself before moving on and groves would not have had the belt and left Anderson in limbo, oh **** it who am I kidding I love all this beef between them.:bbb
I think Groves issue is that the abuse and threats have come from Kenny Anderson close family so Kenny would be able to stop that if he wanted to.
If Groves is bothered about keeping the title, why isn't he defending it? His last fight was against a non-British opponent, and so is his next fight. The BBBofC were quite quick to strip him though, it's been less than a year since his last defence.
