They were eyeing the winner of Adamu/Dilks.

Even a commonwealth title is a good start. Nathan Cleverly won that title early in his career and it seemed to boost his confidence. He fought a few Afrobums but maybe it was worth it in the end.

Yeah, I agree. I think he would take care of Adamu..... and Dilks for that matter too. He should be able to defend that title a few times without too much trouble or even go right after the british title after he wins the commonwealth belt first.

good news for groves. not sure how much exposure it will give him as british prospects usually end up in the first few fights of the untelevised part of the show.

    sky will hopefully show it...

Let's hope he does okay... A positive move this, just getting enough exposure so that when he does come on the scene it will he with a bit more of a bang than the others...:yep

Groves and Gavin for me are the ones who will be the first contenders out of our current bunch with Bellew and DeGale just following them...:yep

I think that Saunders will do okay and I worry for Jeffries that he ain't getting matched enough and this will catch up with him in the future...:yep

Groves is definately the real deal. He seems to be part of the Hayemaker inner circle as well. All this exposure can only do the boy good.

  6. Um, I did write an article on this for boxrec news last week. And did a thread on it as well:

Has Groves pulled out of Friday's fights at Brentwood now then?

Thinking of having a butcher's over there on Friday.

  8. Nope, he's still fighting on Friday.
