Surely the UK is the most profitable market for that fight

absolute madness. two brits, one with an already huge profile, in the final of a huge tournament, and they take it abroad? kalle's got the organisers on the packet hasn't he?

    I just don't understand, I really don't.

Maybe they have been offered a lucrative deal to host it somewhere abroad? But why on Earth would anyone put money up for George Groves vs Callum Smith...

Makes sense if the tournament have received a lucrative offer abroad. They will have to be careful with broadcast time though if they are planning on PPV in the Uk.

It could be anywhere in the UK, Liverpool, London, Manchester and it would sell out. I think with it being in the uk it does more PPV buys too as more attention is brought to it. It’s a shocking decision IMO. I am going to seek to go to it regardless though...

From a viewing point of view. The atmosphere will be dreadful. In the UK it would be incredible.

I imagine that decision is based on joshua fighting in september in the uk.

Not really. It’s still going to be PPV the week after or a couple of weeks before Joshua. If they’re worried about ticket sales then go up north to Manchester and have it there. Groves Eubank sold there and this is a bigger fight and with one fighter from down the road. Loads of scousers would defo go the MEN.
