I think stylewise its a great match up. I have thought for a few years Callum Smith beats Groves and nothing has changed my opinion. I think Groves has a chance of course, but dont see him doing it. This is how,

    1) Best Jab - Will be Smith on night (Groves is an orthodox fighter who is rushing back from major surgery on his left shoulder, so his jab wont be at it for 12 rounds).

    2. Temprement. Groves has improved in this area but against his best opponents does not pace himself well over 12 rounds nor keeps his shape and control. Smith is so cool, Groves cant get under his skin.

    3. Callum Smith is the best body puncher and up close fighter in the division and when Groves tires he starts standing square on, he will give Smith a bigger target.

    4. Smith has better footwork. Not as flashy but cuts a ring of better.

    5. Everytime Smith fights a harder opponent he ups the gears and normally knocks them out early.

    6. Smith will lean on him, be very physical up close and Groves shoulder at some point will let him down.

Fielding just beat Zeuge to win WBA Regular and beat Ryder so ge is world level. I would say anyone in top 10-15 Is world level, which Fielding is. Skoglund was too, was unbeaten at LHW was number 1 ranked to fight for a world title and made weight well at SMW and looked world level (looked better than Eubank).

There going to be massive advantages m8. I think pre injury Smith beats him add them into the equation and it reallybis an uphill task for Groves. Big credit to Grives going through with the fight. Though i feel the money would have helped with that decision and who can blame him.

I agree that they are both top 15 but too me smw is quite a weak division and the difference in quality between the top 1-5 and 6-15 is huge, a lot of people that are in the top 15 are Euro level IMO

I understand your point. I agree the division is weak at the moment, i can't remember it so weak. Though i think you need to judge these things on whats happening now and if someone is top 10-15 now they are world level, regardless if its a weak division or era.

After all the delays, I just hope it lives up to it. The Groves injury is a massive query for me.

Groves jab the key here. Think it will be closely fought, but I see a Groves points win by 2-3 rounds.

What time is it on? I am guessing that Jeddah is about +3 hours ahead of us so I presume it'll be about an 8pm fight UK time?

Hope so because I'm at work later on in the evening.

Groves btw for the win. Experience.

Cheers fella, I might get to see the fight if they allow me to attend work slightly later than 2130. Like about a good 30 minutes later!
