Even if he doesn't get on the televised portion of the bill it's great he's getting out there and getting that US experience at this early stage, because lets face it, if he wants to get big in this game chances are he'll have to take some title fights out there.
Respect to the lad, hope he does well.

Ive got a lot of time for this lad and Adam Booth , Groves has supreme confidence and i love that in a fighter , its gonna be interesting to see where him and De Gale meet down the line .

Great interview and he comes across brilliantly. I am not one for hating on British fighters just because they are cocky or full of it, but that sort of interview shows exactly the difference between a hugely likeable fighter and one who ends up making some of their own countrymen dislike them.

Honest, down to earth and not acting as if he is some super star. He comes across as a fan of the sport and genuinely appreciative of support, and let's be honest he looks FAR better than a lot of the other tipped prospects. Compare how he boxed on Saturday to any of Degales fights so far, and the gulf is big.

I could see him being a star if he proves to be the goods. They've got the London boy angle, 'George', 'The Saint', he looks the part, he comes across very well. He's exciting in the ring. If he makes it into world class they could have a field day with him when they take him across the pond with Golden Boy.

I think Haye is going to work his corner if that is true it may get the fight shown in the states.

    Top interview :good

That's exactly how to bring a top young prospect through. Get him facing real opponents immediately, both in the ring and the gym, rather than feasting on clowns for two years.

So by his 10th fight he'll have won a Commonwealth title, and boxed on the undercards of three world title fights, in Germany, the UK and US.

Cleverley boxed on the undercard of Calzaghe v B-Hop and that didn't do him any harm...:good
