Groves to sign short term deal with Matchroom before returning to VVarren?

    It could be that groves is gonna fight without a promoter for a while like he did before he signed that deal with maloney. then when he becomes a world champion or has a world champion shot he is gonna sign back with wazza? that could explain it. Haye went to maloney only after he knew he was gonna get a world title shot.

    the way i read it is frank and booth have agreed to not air there dirty laundry in public. so frank wont slag of groves in his column and booth/groves wont talk about non payment.

    thats just a theory btw.

    But what sort of deal? one fight deal? 18month deal? we dont know how long he has signed for.

    Would be interesting to see if Froch would actually take this fight, he was pretty much in the same situation with Calzaghe

    It'll probably be a three fight deal if he wants to keep his options open. In three fights time Groves should be challenging for a world title. I could be wrong however and he could have signed his life away for years.

    If its a three fight deal he will be done with hearn by july then he could go back to wazza and have his shot at abraham/stieglitz.

    Why would Hearn and matchroom only sign a 3 or whatever fight deal with him? Surely signing a fighter is like investing in something and cashing in when it matures.

    I am a big Groves fan but by Froch would eat him for breakfast. Bute style massacre.

    Need to wait until he has improved and Froch is on the slide for that one.

    Booth, Groves & Haye are shrewd as you like.. Why would Groves sign anything other than a short term deal with Matchroom?

    Get in, raise your profile, earn some nice cash & then renegotiate later.

    If there is one thing Booth & Haye have continually talked about its making money. And lots of it.

    They don't give a **** if they fight under every single promotion company going. It's all about the green with those guys
