Groves looks in really good nick for this and it also seems that Booth has him psycologically tuned. I think Groves will bring that aggression and really go for it early doors, it'll be interesting to see if DeGale gets his chin checked in the opening rounds.

On the flip side of that though you have to wonder how open Groves will be to good counters and can DeGale plant his feet and prove he has the power to hurt him.

I'm guessing that Groves will hit the canvas due to a combination of his balance and Degales speed, I can't see him getting flat out KO'd but I expect it to end with a Degale flurry and the ref stepping in, maybe with calls of a re-match from Groves.

    Degale 8 TKO.

Groves will win via 9th round stoppage, to much heart and to much grit for Degale.

Agree with this. I think the early rounds will be scrappy, once the fight settles Degales class will expose Groves lack of defence.

Degale wins by TKO around the 9th.... Soft-ish stoppage.

De Gale TKO Rd. 7. Groves will be leading on points at this stage and will be trying to weather a Storm...

:lol::lol: I love it when people try and play out exactly how a fight is going to happen. I bet you a 100% the fight doesn't end up anything remotely like that. Not saying Degale won't win but it won't be that easy. Groves is being underrated by too many people I feel

I agree with BB. Groves needs to start quick, but I think he'll use up too much energy early on. Degale will take over from the 3rd and land heavy shots as the fight progresses. Groves will get frustrated and try rushing in, but Degale is too smooth for that and will make Saint miss badly, while continually clipping him on the counter. Booth pulls out the brave groves in the 9th after a pretty one-sided beating.

At one stage, this was pretty much a 50-50 pick em. Now about 90% think Degales schools him. I'm not sure the gap should be that wide

Groves is big, strong and powerful but not comfortable with his style yet and his offensive and defensive skills need cleaning up. DeGale slaps a bit but is more comfortable in his moves. He can stand in the pocket or stand off and box. It is true that slapping is a flaw and won't make the punch as hard but that is only if you can make the person pay for their mistake. People struggled to make Calzaghe pay and Groves will only make DeGale pay if he can get his timing and range right and put hands on him.
