Both are in talks according to a couple of you tube channels. If true then this would be a huge fight in the UK. Also could be on a ITV ppv model. I like both fighters but my initial thoughts when I 1st heard was Groves points.

Not a fan of either but definitely a match up that would interest me. Groves is a huge super middle and having seen Eubank in person when his brother was at Haringey how he makes middle is beyond me, interesting bout

If you can get past the jab of Groves he's very beatable if you cant your in for a tough night. He hasn't fought anyone near as fast as eubank though. I can't call this fight as the moment

I usually look out for your take on fights Billy but with this one I have to question you a little. I can see Groves leading after the first 4-5 rounds but could he hang with CEJ's punch output and fitness in the 2nd half of the fight? I'm not sure he's got the VO2 max to stay with him the longer the fight goes, and if junior has acquired a chin like his old man's, I can't see Groves stopping him. People talk about George's jab, and yeah it's a great weapon, but it loses snap and accuracy when he tires. And he seems to gas in most of his fights. So why so certain he'll win?

very big question is has junior got a chin, well he will never of faced a puncher like George and size wise in the ring George will dwarf him

good points you make here to be fair ... the other thing to think off is could Jnr really take his power in the first 2/3 rounds. in the opening rounds I think GG is a massive puncher (granted that power starts to diminish as he tires) and Jnrs poor footwork will see him take big right hands on the back of GG's jab imo. Good matchup to be fair. I think GG will be too cute for him and will build up a lead that he could hang on to.

Totally agree. I think it's a good match-up and not a forgone conclusion. It seems we think all think the same; George will be dangerous early and the key is how well CEJ takes his punches and how long before George starts to flag. I can see a similar pattern to the BJS vs CEJ fight, except Junior has developed since then. Another factor could be that CEJ might hit harder at 168, especially if he's struggling to make 160 as suggested above. I can't see a comfortable win for either, I think it will be close.

Eubank is very very big for a middleweight he can't possibly make it easy like you say 168 might well suit him, he was wobbled off Spike and Groves fresh is a big big puncher, if it goes into second half and Eubank is rattling off them combo's it could get interesting. Strangely as Im not a fan of either id really like to see this fight

its seems more often than not that fighters power isnt as big a factor when they move up in weight ... stamina can be better yeah but power usually doesnt become "better" but granted it certainly aint a rule every fighter is different. GG will 100% be the biggest puncher Jnr will have faced. I think GG learned a lot from the Froch fight tho and would defo pace himself a lot better. I wonder if Booth would be on hand to give GG some inside knowledge on Jnr?

As nicho said I not a particular fan of either to be fair but it makes for a good matchup and interesting and very watchable fight.

I'll defer to your knowledge re: power but one thing that confuses me with CEJ. His shots look spiteful, they look like they should take out opponents but they don't. Maybe the extra 8llbs could turn his fast, flashy combos - and especially that uppercut - into genuine weapons. And yes, GG will be the biggest puncher he's faced. But would he have stopped Senior? Never. So if his son has the same punch resistance, or similar, it's going to take a lot to knock him out. I'm calling this a genuine 51/49 fight. lol

true, if he can maintain the speed in his punches they defo could then in turn be far more hurtful, as i said its impossible to guess. what is the height and reach distance between them? If GG has the reach advantage this would be huge for him in this fight i think

Two of the most unlikeable British fighters, hopefully they both lose somehow.

I'd have to go with Eubank by KO, Groves has a glass jaw and Eubank has some power and would land eventually.

Hmm that is a tuff one. jnr goes hell for leather but then has to take breaks to recover. Groves can't fight at a decent clip with out fading. Jnr has been stunned a couple of times very briefly vs none punchers and Groves is the bigger guy...

Id pick George in a fun scrap
