I'm having faith that George has the ability to, and will raise his game when needed, If he blows Anderson out of the water early I think it's time to start paying attention, people seem to forget Carl made hard work of the likes of Magee and Adamu, I could see that Carl Froch having problems with a guy like Anderson and getting himself in a drawn out, grueuling war. Carl just didn't have any spectacular assets (apart from chin) where as Groves has legit KO power and better method of delivery, imo he's a more dangerous fighter.
I think you are doing Froch a bit of a disservice. When he remembers to jab he is very tough to beat and he keeps coming and wears you down. I'm a big Groves fan but at this stage Froch is on a different level. 12-18 months down the line this may be a different story. I think this is a year for learning fights at a decent level for Groves before stepping up to take on someone like Anthony/Andre Dirrell. If Magee loses then that might be a good fight for Groves (can't see magee risking his stock by fighting Groves untill he is beaten again first!).
froch is too much for groves at this point and will be still for 18-24 months, george needs a few more stern tests
Yes when Groves got a bit full on, Froch gave him a dig and briefly floored Young Groves who then knew his role .
