With Groves just signing with Matchroom will this fight happen or will Eddie milk a few "Final Elimanators" out of Groves. I'd love to see this fight get made next.

I don't think Groves level of competition has been good enough, he's 18-0 but his last two fights have been just to get rounds in.

If he was to win a world title now I could see a Cleverly type situation where he's kept away from the main players at 168.

Hopefully he'll fight Magee or Stevenson.

Pretty sure Groves is already mandatory?

Groves is Mandatory. It should happen but will Matchroom want it to happen so soon after he signed for them. If he loses which is a big possibility does his value decrease ?

Stevenson is fighting Dawson for the belt at 175.

It will happen around September time. I think Eddie Hearn is planning a unification fight with Groves and Froch.

You do not have to win an eliminator to become the WBO mandatory. See Ricky Burns, Gary Lockett, Michael Jennings etc etc

Carl wouldn't see the fight as a unification. I get the feeling that he's going to go after Hopkins should he get by Kessler. That's the kinda fight that will appeal to him - a marquee name with a bona fide title.

It's also the sort of fight that would appeal to Hopkins. As in it's stylistic nightmare for Froch.

Hopkins would beat Froch handily, even at this stage. Terrible fight for Carl.

Winner of Froch/Kessler fights the winner of Steiglitz/Groves.

I hope so. I think he needs a decent opponent for the Froch undercard though. Magee or somebody along his level would be a good idea.

From the interview when Groves signed for matchroom it sounds like Booth will be making the decisions regarding Groves not Hearn.
