Groves Vacates Commonwealth, Fielding to fight for it

    Groves has agreed to vacate the Commonwealth title.

    Dodgson pulls out of fight with Fielding for English title.

    List of opponents being drawn up for Rocky to fight for the commonwealth.

    There isn't a lot out there at the moment - looks at the British Top 10:

    1 Carl Froch (Nottingham) 31-2, 22 - fighting
    2 Brian Magee (Belfast) 36-5-1, 25 -
    3 George Groves (Hammersmith) 19-0, 15 fighting
    4 James DeGale (Harlesden) 17-1, 11 onto higher things!?
    5 Paul Smith (Liverpool) 33-3, 19 Just fought
    6 Kenny Anderson (Edinburgh) 18-1, 13
    7 Robin Reid (Runcorn) 42-8-1, 29
    8 Rocky Fielding (Liverpool) 14-0, 8
    9 Tobias Webb (Swansea) 12-1-1, 2 Beat in Prizefighter
    10     Wayne Reed (Sheffield) 10-6, 5 - Rocky Beat

    Wonder if Smith could be ready in time after recent fight?

    It's a shame Tony Quigley is still working his way back to fitness after long time out as that would have been a good fight?

    Reid is a decent fight IMO. He was competitive with Anderson and would IMO give Rocky some decent work and a name on record.

    was looking forward to Fielding vs Dodson. i guess they might go aborad and find a decent appoent for Feilding since its the Commonwealth title

    To be honest I'd like Smith to take it, if he wins that and has the British he could challenge for European. Would be nice for him I think.

    Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding for both Commonwealth and British.

    I think Smith will beat Fielding. Yes he surprised everyone in Prizefighter but inactivity and unimpressive victories come after this. I just don't think there is hype around him.

    According to EBU website Hadillah MOHUMADI v Giovanni DE CAROLIS is taking place on 21st September for the title.

    Don't know any of these two but think Smith would fancy winner for title?

    id imagine hope is ranked in smw cos barker/hope was at smw and hope gets a good ranking no matter what weight he is at due to him being a former euro champ.
