I dont think DeGale has concussive power, but he gets his stoppages when he unleashes a flurry of unanswered shots on his opponent.

and we know that theres always a massive chance of a bull**** stoppage in the UK here, especially in hyped fights. Some would say the fact that Warren is involved makes it even more likely.

But i can seriously see a premature stoppage in favour of Degale. Mid-Late rounds. It could start competitive but rounds 4-7 degale takes control. then gets a BS BS stoppage in the second half of the fight. this could actually happen any time knowing british ref's.

Degale will probably be ahead at the time, but it will still leave a sour taste. Ive stopped attending big fights in the uk. the % of bull**** stoppages is astounding, and always leaves me furious.

i think theres a good chance we'll see another one tomorrow

    you n'am sayin?!

There's always going to be a controversial end on a FW card, and this could very well be it. Hope not, though.

People are paying good money to see it.

if only that stopped Fwarren .

seriously though the amount of times we see bs stoppages here in the uk...its sooo infuriating! i've given up going to these events now coz you always get burned one way or another.

Hoping for a groves win. but all points to a degale premature stoppage win.

I see it being waved off while Groves is on feet.

Can just as well say this for every single fight in a British ring. Our refs are horrendous.

We don't have one ref where I'm thinking...'okay we can rely on this guy to make a good call'.

Which makes me wonder about the guidelines they're given by the mummies at the BBBoC.

I really think they're so scared and concerned with having another Michael Watson on their hands they jump in at the first sign of distress. It doesn't work, you can't ref with fear in this sport any more than you can fight with fear.

They obviously have told the refs to be make terrible calls Dave Parris is still working after that Calslappy Manfredo fight made us the joke of the boxing world. And don't even start with the judging.

the ref's really do seem petrified.

its literally the FIRST flurry of punches that hurt, the ref steps right in.
    its total bs.

then what tops it all off, the dumbass pundits at sky/primetime ****ing back the ref up EVERY TIME!

''no it was a decent stoppage''.
    ''he wasnt throwing back''
    ''he was hurt''

NO ****. its boxing your meant to get hurt!

we would NEVER have fights like Juanma vs Salido or Ortiz vs Berto in the uk... and its a ****ing shame

Agreed. There is no such thing as a bad stoppage according to sky. They then call for the fighter who was stopped to retire every single time without fail. They also never disagree with the questions there asked its always yes good point let me suck your dick dry and you can agree with me back. Khan hasn't had a legit KO either. A lot of his were terrible stoppages.
