Not a cat in hell's chance of this fight happening for at least another 18 months, maybe longer and anyone who thinks it's gonna be made for december is just being naive. Warren was just doing his job. Planting it in people's minds, getting the fans juiced up for the rivalry etc. Just a bit of PR.

Look at Hearns/Leonard for how a fight between two young star rivals benefits from being "delayed" and made at the right time.

Whatever happens both camps shouldn't be afraid to be honest about negotiations so we know who to blame if this fight doesn't happen.

If Groves beats DeGale and Smith then he can move onto Europe quickly. Likewise for DeGale.

as soon as I saw 48 hour deadline i new it was bull**** from Warren. Its almost impossible to get a fight sorted in that time.

Booth has put in a counter offer, willing to pay degale substantially more on a hayemaker card.

also groves oct 30th opponent is a "good unbeaten fighter"

    Just read about Booth's counter-offer.

If he really is offering "substantially more" for the fight to be on a Hayemaker card, does anyone think Frank will swallow his pride and let it happen?

    Unfortunately, I don't.

frank didn't want it in the 1st place, just publicity, he's now in serious danger of lookin silly because he will not accept booths offer.

somewhere down the line they need to co-promote, its the only way this fight gets made, Haye could top the bill vs Chisora and Degale/Groves could be chief support

Booth is a ****ing idiot. That is just wasting time. If theres no options and the money is close to what Groves is getting for October 30th then they should accept.

More posturing from Booth & Co.

Unfortunately it seems there isn't much chance of it happening.

    Shame.
