    Great fight
    Ain't bothered who wins
Imo I think groves is slightly past peak
    And junior hitting it
It's a fill of the coin on this one for me

I am favouring Groves, he is a very big Super Middleweight, technically very good, punches very hard.

If Groves uses his brains, feet and most importantly that jab and uses it often Jr is in trouble, Jr isn't technically great and his defence is almost non existent at times.

Jr does have stamina to burn and is game and so far has displayed a solid enough chin.

We haven't seen Jr hit by a genuinely big super middleweight who can punch and we certainly haven't seen how he reacts to a solid body shot.

He might have his old mans chin but his old man didn't like body shots, that's why he had his trunks pulled up under his chin.

Jr could well be protecting a glass body and Groves will test it.

I changed my mind watching their most recent fights.

Groves looks dead making the weight, lacking in stamina and visibility aged.

CEJ maybe only bringing a high output game plan and lacks elite power, but he looks prime.

    CEJ via late stoppage/UD.

Groves. Jr will need a straight right to counter Groves' long jab, and he doesn't throw a straight right! I assume it's an elbow issue? A looping counter right won't reach, because the Groves jab is that long.

I think Groves can pull Jr onto his own counter straight right with his feetwork, and Eubank's inability to close distance correctly.

Groves is a much bigger man, a huge super middle these days. He can knock Jr out.

I've never rated Groves that highly, he's a one trick pony. His offence is his defence, if he can't hurt Eubank he'll get ground down and stopped.

No one is stopping Eubank Jr, no one!

You don't really believe Groves will stop him. I'm like a broken record but the hardcores are frightened of Eubank & are using wishful thinking in their predictions. I was there once but I've transitioned to the dark side. It's okay. It's not as bad it looks.

Eubank will destroy him. U know it. I know it.

How can anyone watch these two fighters recently combined with their styles and think Groves has a chance. I'm being kind in refusing to believe it. U need to be stupid to really believe Groves can win this.

Firstly anybody can be stopped or knocked out. Have you forgotten Jr has been beaten before? You talk like he is unbeatable.

Jr is not a Super Middleweight and if this fight goes how I think it will then you'll be back on here using that as an excuse.

Sr and Jr keep mentioning it, they are mentioning the weight and natural size at every opportunity for a reason, it's a ready made excuse.

I don't hate or dislike Jr, seems like a nice young man and he has some good qualities. Just because I believe it's a far more competitive fight than you do does not mean I'm a hater, the bookies have it close enough for it not to be called a huge upset if Groves wins.

As for seeing them both recently, well you are watching Jr beat up fighters that are tailor made for him and picturing Groves being the same, I also believe you are picturing the worst Groves.

Groves isn't tailor made for Jr, Groves can cause him serious problems with a certain style but if Groves does the wrong things than Jr could be a nightmare for Groves.

I think Groves will win. It's key for Groves that he capitalises on Eubanks 1 min rest each round. Yes he fights at a frantic pace but for each round over 1 or 2 parts he takes around 1 min a round of, when he's needing that breather Groves need a to make him work and not let him go for a walk.

Watched back two of CEJs 3 fights at SMW (Quinlan and Yildirim).

Was on the backfoot for the majority of the Yildirim fight, so I'm not sure where this relentless style fighter is coming from. Quinlan fight was similar also, he also got clocked quite easily a few times in that fight.

When he let's his hands go he does look impressive, but as mentioned already its against stationary targets mostly.

Take away the name and take away the hype, you've got a fighter coming up from Middleweight, who is a small SMW, has fought one world class middleweight which he lost - Ok it was close and he was quite inexperienced but I'm not seeing major improvements since then boxing ability wise. Some improvement in his style and what he does well, better jab but not in variety of shots, or fixed clumsy / off balance footwork.

He's the smaller fighter in this fight, less powerful, has worse footwork and throws primarily hooks and uppercuts due to a long term issue with his right arm. He has fought and beat (important), lesser competition then his opponent. He also has less boxing experience.

Positives for him are he is the fresher of the two of them, he has much faster combination punching.

I re-watched Groves fight against Murray, although he won, he was ragged and a bit too wild when Murray let his hands go.

This is always a worry that he will trade, if he does this against CEJ I can actually see him being hurt and CEJ just flurrying like mad. He was still new training with Shane at the time, but I think bbjc said he still makes the same mistakes at times and I'd agree, but he's been less wild since the Murray fight.

If CEJ is to beat Groves I think it's likely to be by flurry, likely with Groves stopped on his feet imo.

I'd actually like to see CEJ target Groves body, I'm sure he will have spoken to Froch on what he believes will win him the fight and his weaknesses. Froch landed a good few solid bodshots in his first fight with Groves.

Going with Groves, as long as he doesn't do anything silly, he can't fall into the same trap as he did in his first Froch fight, thinking he can knock CEJ out or wanting to prove it by losing his shape.

CEJ is coming up a weight against a big world class SMW, but more importantly one who has shown he can outbox other quality SMWs - I've not seen CEJ outbox a world class opponent at MW so I don't see him doing it a weight higher, when he's the smaller less powerful fighter.

I'm not saying he can't win, I just don't think he can outbox Groves and KOs are rare at top level boxing.

If he's smart and sticks to his game plan Groves will win, if he get's involved in a tear up, he will get KO'd or gas in the final rounds

Young Christopher crushes him. I now think it will be so emphatic that Groves will be KTFO. George will be laid out on the canvas in alarming fashion within six rounds and this forum will go into meltdown. Could have a full first page on the General Section of Eubank threads.
