Should be a great fight, hard to pick a winner. I'm going with Groves winning a close decision and knocking Jr down at some point.

Quite disappointing this is a knockout tournament actually because of this fight is as good as we think it will be, there will be a need for a rematch and we won't get it immediately.

Hard one for me as I really like both boxers

I've highly rated groves for a few years now even after the Carl froch losses. I think the split from Adam booth took something away from him.

He's lost a bit of snap from his punches

Eubanks output and engine is on par with calzaghes

    Dunno about his chin yet

I'm leaning towards Eubank 9-12 stoppage due to accumulation

Groves isn’t the fighter he was but Eubank hasn’t been in with anyone near Groves level or power.

It’s cliche but it is a genuine 50-50 and is (should be at least) a FOTY candidate.

Eubanks engine is not as good as a prime Froch let alone Calzaghe. Eubanks takes a minute of most rounds

Well Im not so sure about not as good as froch's engine. Sure froch has a great engine, but he doesn't throw quick and many combos like Jr does.

Throw with alot more power and never had one minute of a round for a breather like Eubank

Groves is big for super middleweight, he’s stronger and to top it off he’s level above Eubank in skill, ring IQ and experience. He doesn’t need to do anything particularly special or outside the box to beat Eubank. He’s not a difficult fighter to adjust to. Just pick him off with that jab and punish him to the body.

Regardless of whether he was motivated and out of shape or not he was still beaten in many people's eyes by a man who on here is slated as a bum all the time. A bum who's best win is Dodson and was ker plunked off a novice Groves in 2 rounds.

Not much difference between them really in height or reach, physically Groves probably has a bit more meat on him but don't get this notion that he is a monster. There are fighters that have bigger height/reach than Groves at SMW, Froch, Ward, Dirrel, Jack, Kessler all fit into this category.

It’s not massive but he’s a couple of inches taller, he also has to work very hard to stay within the 168 limit. Eubank Jn is 5”11 and comfortably breezes into the 168. He walks around at around 12 stone anyway (his words).

He wasn't beaten by him in anybodies eyes other than Smith and scousers! Granted the cards were a little wide but Smith never in a million years won that fight. Watch it again.

Agree Groves the bigger man think in width rtf he' white a but bigger. As you say he's a big SMW were as Eubanks has a very small frame for a SMW.
