    Just watching the presser.

One funny bit for me was poor old Ronnie Davies, when asked about his training of Jr and how much he is involved he said "Angelo Dundee never told Ali what to do"

Did Davies just imply Jr is as much of a natural talent as Ali? Did he really say that?

    FFS

The Eubanks are just a bag of contradictions. Just a couple of examples that are stuck in my mind.

    Jr..
When BJS is mentioned, Jr says it was a long time ago and things are very different now.

When Jr speaks about Groves, always mentions the sparring which was also a long time ago but somehow still has major significance.

    Sr..
When he talks about himself and his son, they are warriors who put everything on the line, they don't have towels in their corner (Jr said about the towels), brave men willing to risk it all, risk everything.

Then in his next breath he asking the referee to protect both fighters (interview yesterday he said BOTH) and apparently has very real concerns for safety. WTF happened to the "Warriors Code"?

All I want is some consistency, it that too much to ask.

How Eubank is likeable to people is beyond me. Sr is just funny because of his character but Jr is just cringe

Haha! Groves response to how opponent will respond to defeat, "He'll probably blame his dad and move back down to middleweight"! Class after Jr's long winded cliche response :D

    That was funny.

Although funny it will probably actually happen if Jr loses Saturday night.

Jr. Can’t make up his mind about sparring .. he said he beat up groves in sparring then when asked about that after groves vs cox he said sparring doesn’t mean much, then a moment later, when asked about him being unproven at super middleweight he said something like “I know who I’ve sparred and what happened in those sessions”.

Basically he talks rubbish. I can’t stand him or the dad and hope he gets beaten.

First time commenting on here (I've been an avid reader for a couple of years) but I'm excited about this fight and wanted to chime in.

Everyone always talks about Jr's workrate and stamina but is it just me who sees him fighting in very short bursts and then going for a walkabout? I've never seen him fight 3 mins of every round and think it seems pretty obvious his showboating is just to buy time until his next 50 punch combo.

Surely this is at the very least a lack of confidence in his stamina?

Saw the presser and Jnr came across as a complete knob.He is trying so hard to get under Groves skin and it just isn`t working. He goes on about sparring all the time as if world titles are handed out for sparring sessions.I cannot wait for Jnrs excuses post fight after he loses huge equally going to enjoy DeGale feasting on the left overs.

This is true mate. Groves won’t give him much time to walk nonchalantly around. I think the biggest surprise for people in this fight is going to be Groves’s stamina. He will work for 12 rounds if need be.

I wanted Murray to beat Groves, whom also went in thinking Groves would get tired and he’d take over. He found out it was a myth.

This could have been a typical Froch or Fury reply, if they were in G's shoes.

I agree about Groves. He does often look tired from the mid-rounds if he's put too much behind his shots before that but he never really seems to actually tire. In his last few fights, he doesn't seem to squat down so much when moving about and I'm sure this will help his endurance.

Personally I can't find much to like about Eubank but I've never been Groves's biggest fan either (although I am a Froch fan so maybe that has something to do with it) but I've been impressed with Groves since the Froch fights, he seems to know his stuff and be able honestly analyse his performances. Eubank just says he's the best and that's that.

Josh Taylor speaks highly about GG's fitness and seems to be sincere about it. Video is on YouTube

    Presser was funny
Eubank was trying hard to get under his skin and groves did not bite
Some of the **** Jr. was saying had me laughing out loud

Good point there 20. Startegy and tactics are such an important part of championship fighting. If anyone overlooks this area of the game then they are missing a vital component to the game

Funny. I thought Groves was extremely prickly, unwilling to engage and almost consumed by negative energy. Almost carbon copy of Froch in their first fight. We all know what happened there but I can't see Eubank letting Groves off the hook if he ends up in a similar position.
