I feel Groves is on the slide and has been in too many wars. Eubank is the younger, fresher fighter and I think will set too fast a pace for George to keep up with. Eubank UD.

I'll go with Eubank pts, but I'm worried he has too much pride to box on the backfoot when need be. Groves is a lot bigger and stronger

He could stop Groves on cuts. Or Groves could outsize him late

Groves points...better fundamentals and he’s a huge middleweight, a lot more experience both amateur and pro. Look at the size of him compared to when he fought Degale...

    Looking forward to it though...

There’s not enough of these Groves-Eubank threads.

I’m not saying he will, but I’m saying that Groves is more than capable of stopping Eubank. A huge shot on the jaw can put him down, nobody is unstoppable, plus there’s the body shots too...doesn’t have to be on the chin.

This is the fight where we find out if he has inherited his dads chin.
We do know hes been hit before, bjs landed some good shots on him but non of his previous oponents can hit as good as GG can.

I m going eubank stoppage. Still think they ve got groves fighting the wrong style. Hes getting away with it ATM because he could beat these guys he's been fighting recently anyway.

They ve got him outworking his opponent...pretty much in a similar style as eubank junior uses. The difference is eubanks stamina is excellent...his chin looks solid. Whereas George,s stamina plummets and his chin is a little bit vulnerable. Also they ve still got groves fighting on the inside. He' an excellent outside fighter and becomes vulnerable on the inside.

A guy like George doesn't need to fight on the inside. Crying out for him to diffuse the situation. Hold...or use his footwork to take it back long. I think the booth trained groves would do a number on eubank as well. You beat guys like eubank with footwork. You don't try to match their work rate. The problem groves faces is his style nowadays is to outwork opponents. Your doing that against a guy with better stamina...and a better chin. Both of them try to deplete you by outworking you. The guy with the better stamina and better chin...toughness usually comes out on top. Good fight tho...groves has the experience. He,d be stupid to try and outwork eubank tho. Needs to change his style for this fight.

this will be the fight that shows if cej is the real deal.

there are some intriguing things for me like:

-how will his stamina hold up when he gets tagged by a big puncher
-how will he deal with someone who is the same size/bigger
-has he got a world class chin

    february can't come quick enough.

I think this is the most likely scenario. The difference between these fighters is like night and day. Groves is a truly world class technical boxer puncher which EUbank a good fighter not boxer is most definitely not. I laugh when people talk about Eubanks speed and relentless attack forgetting that Groves is actually faster and neither is he a stationary target for Eubanks to hit not to talk of EUbank poor footwork. EUbank is going to get nailed with Groves excellent jab, hook and beautiful right cross. He will do well to get to the last round if at all.

Groves is simply too big, clever and experienced for Eubank. Eubank has zero power and he'll be eating a Groves jab all night long. Groves will be too physically strong for him.

    Groves UD.

Good thing is. Everyone have a different opinion. 50/50 fight in my view and everyone have a good argument on there pick to win. Can't wait for it.

I am really looking forward to this very interesting encounter.

Groves has all the ability to beat Jnr, however I can't help but feel Eubank will come on relentlessly in the last few rounds and maybe pull off a stoppage.

If Groves sticks behind his jab - which is excellent - he could end up schooling the cruder but tough Eubank so for me all results are on the table. The man was outpointed by BJS who Groves is a similar match for as a boxer but with much, much more power.

Groves is past his best and even at his best CEJ has a style that is problematic for him. Groves doesn't deal with pressure well, he offence is his defence and unless he can back Jr up consistently or KO him he will be broken down and stopped.

I think Groves will have success early and definitely chin check Eubank. But I think Jr has a good chin and will ride out any problems he has and gradually overwhelm and stop a tiring Groves.

Eubank via late stoppage or points. Just think he has too much for Groves to deal with. Think Groves will gas.
