You are very biased towards Eubank however.

I remember watching the fight and especially in the first 6 rounds of the fight, BJS made Eubank look extremely crude. And I dont use the term lightly. The difference in footwork and balance was staggering, I didnt think there was that much between them then and as I said BJS in the first half of that fight made Eubank look very very basic. Granted BJS is very well skilled in the areas that Eubank isnt and this in turn amplified Eubanks poor feet. The skill level gap between him and BJS was huge, in the 2nd half of the fight Eubanks physical attributes brought him back into it but in terms of boxing skill and ring IQ BJS is miles ahead. Therefore I would assume that Groves will be able to do similar, this could be very similar to the BJS fight. Groves isnt as sure footed as BJS but does bang far harder.

Anyway gonna be a cracking fight, gonna be close, hard to see it being anything else. Would rather see Groves win it as the Eubanks are very unlikeable.

Groves has also won when he has stepped up. He also has far more experience in fighting higher level fighters than Eubank.

I read here that Froch fancies Groves which is interesting as he has sparred with Groves, been in the ring with him twice and has sparred loads with Eubank also so has first hand exeprience.

He wasn't winning the first fight as comfortably as people think. Watch it again, even if the fight wasn't stopped then there would have had to have been a standing 8 count at the very least. After that the scores would've been roughly even. Think I might even have had Froch ahead if that had happened.

Yes before the shot that knocked him spark out. Which raises another point; I know you shouldn't take gym talk that seriously but all the rumours suggest Eubank's chin is just ridiculous, even stronger than the Cobra's.

Possibly talking with my heart here which is why I won't be laying down any cash, something about ugly kid just rubs me up the wrong way.

How much do we think the winner and loser will get paid on Sat? Kalle mentioned that the winner gets considerably more, and that at least the winner will be getting a career high payday..

Apparently there was £38mil in the pot for the whole tournament, but think Kalle also mentioned about overspending.. and I can't imagine it being split equally.

I noticed those comments from Kalle and I was surprised. Groves must have made £2-3m from Wembley so not sure how winning this fight in MEN albeit on PPV can eclipse those earnings.

Mind you the final is in Jeddah so Arab money is clearly involved.

If Kalle's comments are true then winner must be getting somewhere in the region of £2-3m and I imagine Groves will take home £1m after getting sparked out.

I reckon you’ll probably be able to pick that up on IFL, mate. Looking forward to it myself. Groves is gonna look like a prisoner of war, Eubank is gonna look a million dollars.

Yeah I did a bit of maths based on the £38mil pot (hurt my head) and was thinking pretty much the same thing. £1mil for the loser sounds about right, but I think they might have pushed the winner's earnings a bit higher, maybe £4mil.

The Arab money might have come afterwards, and I hope the general success of the tournament has translated into a bit more cash, hence Kalle talking about overspending.

You have to be kidding?! Even with a 10-8 round, Groves was comfortably ahead at that stage!

My head is still saying Groves. I didn't realise it was well over 3 years since Eubank vs BJS - how time flies. It does make you wonder why Jr has taken so long to step up again. Easy answer is Sr being a nightmare to deal with, but someone saying he only lost because he started slow shouldn't have taken this long to challenge at the top level again.

But having said that, part of me still wants to believe everything Sr and Jr say, and that Jr will overwhelm Groves. As much as I'm enjoying Groves's career, he has never hit the heights of the likes of his mate Frochy. If Jr's chin is carved out of that same granite, and he has some of the same 'intangibles' as Froch (e.g. the warrior code), then we could be in for a similar rollercoaster ride - one that I would definitely want to be a part of.

Nope, let me break it down for you:

Round 1 10 - 8 Groves (Froch still rocks Groves with a left before the knock down)

    Round 2 10-9 Froch

Round 3 10-9 Groves (Froch still lands a flurry of heavy blows and marks Groves's eye, any judge who gives this as a draw of even to Froch wouldn't be disgraced)

Round 4 10 - 10 Groves (Another very close round, hardy any punches thrown and carl has groves up against the ropes towards the end. 10-9 Froch would not be outrageous)

Round 5 10 -9 Froch (Carl absolute dominates the 1st two minutes and Watt describes it as nip and tuck at the two min mark! Carl wins the last minute as well, easy victory for Froch, Groves does his hugging trick right at the end)

Round 6 10-9 Groves ( Groves gets the upper hand half way through but Carl still finishes strong, Groves hardly outclassed him)

Round 7 10- 9 Groves ( Once again Groves' lack of stamina is exposed as Carl finishes the round stronger)

Round 8 10-9 Froch (Carl's superiority is now becoming apparent at 2.22 mins left the ginger one literally runs away.

Round 9 KO! However even if the ref didn't stop it he would've have to have given a standing count so 10-8 Froch.

    Points after 9 rounds would've been Groves 85 & Froch 85.

Fair enough but can't say i agree personally. Only agree with Froch having 5, 8 and a share of one other. Also think there is a good case for 6 being 10-8 Groves.

People trying to make out like Groves loses every time he steps up need a reality check. Martin Murray is better than anybody on Jr's record, let's be honest. He's beaten DeGale, lost a close one to Jack who's turned out to be very good, nearly iced a prime Froch and he's now WBA champion. He's leagues ahead of Jr. Can't wait to see the comments tomorrow night after the fight. People will learn all about levels. This is a super middle weight boxer puncher vs middle weight crude slugger - this will end in a relatively easy nights work for Groves and will see Eubank disappear back down to middle weight - 100%.
