Eubank is coming across as quite complacent considering the weak opposition he has faced since losing to BJS.

I can see this going like Groves - Degale with Groves dominating the first half, and Eubank coming on strong late but losing.

There is often a fine line between supreme confidence and arrogance, Jr appears to be on the borderline, whether he ends up being arrogant or confident will probably depend on the outcome of the fight.

Personally thought eubank controlled that press conference today. Can't remember seeing someone with that much self assurance for a relatively young boy in a while. I thought he played groves like a fiddle. And George is pretty good himself...at the mind games.

Got a feeling eubank did do a bit of a number on groves in sparring. The onus is then been on George to try to change who has the upper hand. The problem was he became too invested in what eubank junior had to say and played right into his hands. Needs to rethink his strategy for the next press conference.

Groves, and I’ve no doubt whatsoever. Eubanks looks the part when allowed to plant his feet, and then he’s relentless, but Groves jab will knock Eubanks timing all off, and then Groves right hand comes into play.
Eubank looked awful v BJS for a reason, till Bill got a bit tired then it was competitive.
He carries NOWHERE NEAR, the ability of Groves, and far less the power.
I am 100% sure Groves wins this, I think he stops him, but if Eubank has his Dads chin, by wide decision.
If the Groves of Froch 1 turns up, Eubank gets hurt.

I didn’t see that myself bud, but that’s quite interesting the way we all judge things differently. Groves seemed very composed, never once raised his voice or reacted emotionally to anything Eubank said to him. He stuck to his points, especially when he got under Eubanks skin about his dad and about letting his team help him. Groves looked completely relaxed for me, whilst Eubank threw his toys out saying he’s going to lay him out like Froch did.

    Spot on!

I think CEJ is getting sparked, personally. The size difference is too apparent as well. Then add in GG's skills & tools.

If the GG of the first Froch fight showed up, CEJ wouldn't see the 4/5th round.

Eubank Jr’s possession is going to be part of his downfall. He is going to try and overwhelm Groves who will outbox him, make him miss and make him pay with quality shots. Being a volume puncher does not work against a target that is not stationary. Eubank need to plant his feet still to fire off his combinations. They fell into Kalle Sauerland and Groves trap by agreeing to be the 3rd seed. Had they been the 2nd seed he would make more money losing to Groves in the final.

I think the following two videos give a good insight, into how both boxers think.

Groves talks about ability and skillset, whilst Eubank mentions that he works on what he wants to work on, how he doesn't need someone to tell him what shots to throw doing pad work. Basically exactly what Groves said, it's evident he does he own training.

I seen the complete opposite and I m a groves fan as well. Interesting the different takes on it. For me surprised at how flustered George got at times...cause he,s usually the wind up. Its hard when you re contending against the son while the dad on the sidelines is basically cheer leading. Then theres Ronnie Davis also cheer leading. All the while Shayne's quite a quiet bloke. And groves appears to have a more grown up attitude nowadays....than in the past...looks like a conscious decision he,s made. He,s taking what their saying too seriously at this point for me tho. Sometimes feels like he was trying to justify himself to the eubanks. Hes investing in what their saying too much. Their just sitting back chucking in the next grenade.

Eubank....you,ve never been the same since froch.

Groves. Well maybe it did effect me for a bit but I m over it now. I m on a good run of form. Then continues to justify himself to the eubanks in a pretty serious manner for a bit.

Just leaves the eubanks left to throw in another grenade about something else when he finishes.

    Rinse and repeat.

Just give him...short answers. Or mocking answers or take over by doing all the talking. Maybe just agree. Yeah I m useless since froch...I bet chudinov cox etc think that as well. Then throw your own grenade into the mix. Let them do the answering.

It probably won't make a huge difference of the outcome.

Was convinced eubank was gonna knock him out tbh. But George does look a good bit bigger plus George has always been a nightmare to fight against. He makes you second guess yourself with his foot placement and counter punching style. Exactly what eubank will not like. But on the other hand...eubanks relentlessness isn,t great for George. I say that fight comes down to who gets their game plan off best on the night. George within 6. Or eubank after 6. We could be looking at another eubanks v bjs in the first six with eubanks struggling to get going because of the boxing ability. The difference is George can really hurt you. But if the fight slows down. George tends to use up too much energy with his constant feighnting etc. I can see eubank drowning him.

There are levels to this and Eubank is not at this level. Nobody and I mean nobody find Groves easy to fight and there is a reason why. Groves is the better boxer and puncher with superior technique who has mixed with a much higher level of competition. For those who think Eubank has more speed please note neither DeGale , Froch or Badou Jack showed they had more speed than Groves. Ask yourself if Eubank has beaten or fought anyone better or as good as Groves then ask if Billy Joe Saunders is anywhere near as good as Groves?

I didn't think the comments about his dad bothered him at all, dont really know what you saw. He gets it' all the time so it's water of a dicks back these days.

25.49 mins bud. The mention of the ‘pivotal point between father and son’ has Junior proper bugged. He starts trying to drown out Groves with threats of what he’s going to do to him. Groves kept his cool, and kept on until he got his point out.

Groves knows exactly how to get under his opponents skin. He does it so well.

Snr always set out to play the villan and jnr has done the same . Easy money maker in boxing.

He' done a great job at that . I'd love to see Groves punish the boulder head

Interesting article on Sky from Froch where he claims it's impossible for Groves to win having fought one and sparred the other. What I also found very intesting is that he claims Jr's chin is very good and that he couldn't hurt him. I know he would have had sparring gloves on but you would think Froch of all people would know when someone has a good chin or not.
