I know carl has been retired a few years but he is still in shape. Personally i think this would be a good fight, Groves soul is owned by Froch and he never recovered fully from being cobra'd Who would you pick?
Personally would not want to see it. Froch may come across like he is in good shape but that does not mean he has the same reactions and mental stability for professional fighting. Maybe with a few warm up fights he would stand a chance but Groves would be the favourite, never underestimate ring rust and old age.
Like DJ said, mother time is undefeated ! Froch has been out too long, and this Groves now is much more experienced than the one he fought. It would be hard to look past Groves, would also be a struggle for Froch to make weight now also
Froch has always lived a relatively sensible and frugal life, he's kept his feet on the ground and not wasted his career earnings. There's no way he risks that new nose against Groves.
Fun this merry go round First Groves was winning the first fight but didn't Second groves will win the second he didn't Now groves would win a third Lol ffs Groves looks more or less done st 30 Froch would old man him out of it once more imo Some of the faith you guys have is atg that is irrefutable for sure
I know Froch has been out the game a little while but i would love to see this fight, people would go nuts for it me included! Froch will stay retired though im sure.
Thing people forget is Froch was past his best when he fought George and still stopped him twice. If Froch went back in a time machine he would have dominated this division for years.
I think George would get the win this time if it happened, I wouldn't like to see it though. Froch for all his haters etc was a decent fighter, he did a lot in his career that others can only wish they could/had. He should stay where he is now best, retired and enjoy it.
Well seen as Froch suddenly is a solid cruiserweight walking around at 190lbs and couldn't make 168 2/3years ago for GGG he wouldn't be coming back to 168 for Groves....or would he? .....
I argued the point when people suggested before Saturday night that he was shot, on the decline, not the same since Froch knocked him out etc Well, he’s not the same, he’s at his peak, he’s matured, he’s a much better, strong fighter than he was 4 years ago. He is one of the most underrated British fighters for god knows how long. I appreciate this thread is just a bit of frivolous fun...but i think one or two people are getting a bit giddy if they think a 40/41 year old Froch, who’s been inactive for 4 years could beat this version of Groves. He’d get his head boxed off.
