Doubt his people would let him take the fight but credit where it's due he sparred him and now wants to fight him - Degale didn't even fancy sparring Froch

I like Groves but he IMO has no chance against Froch and shouldnt even be looking at him as an opponent.

Get VVarren to get his act together and get Groves / Anderson re-match sorted then go from there. Funny how all the VVarren fighters have gone quiet!

  5. Groves hits hard. People are discounting him too easily.

Groves needs to give it a rest on this one. Froch would put a huge dent in Groves career at this point. A stupid risk on Groves part. Although chances of Froch fighting Groves at this point are slim to none. He wants to avenge defeats and not take on young upstarts. Albeit a very talented upstart.

I like Groves a lot, but he needs to get his head down and crack on with his career, fight Anderson, try and get the Stieglitz fight sorted, THEN start calling out the divisions elites.

I do however think he would fare better than Bute did if the fight were made next. I'd say Grove's corner rescues him around the 9th. Bute froze on Saturday and I Groves has already shown great resolve in the way he dealt with the pressure of the Degale fight.

To me, it just seems like some small off-the-cuff comments during an interview that have been blown out of proportion.

I like Groves and I see nothing wrong in him making a call-out such as this but at the moment, I don't think he's ready for Froch, it wouldn't be a great move for him.

If he feels he has outgrown the domestic scene, there are plenty of fringe international contenders and gatekeepers out there at SMW, he can go after a Green, Johnson, Bika type fight.

    Get his name out there.

I don't even think Froch would have an issue giving him a shot in the last couple fights of his career. He probably feels he owes that to an up and coming British contender ... the shot that Calzaghe wouldn't afford him.

In Frochs words "what's the matter Joe, it's only boxing"

    Bute would batter Groves.
