Exactly. I think Booth + Matchroom should look at progressing him before sticking him straight in with the #2 in the division - to much of a step up at this stage. Relate this back to David Price. Before he fought Thompson, everyone was mouthing off about how he needs to step up the level of competition after 15 fights, so he fights Thompson and gets stopped twice - now in hindsight everyone says it was too big a jump. Groves is still young, he knows himself he isn't the finished article but he's looking better in each fight. Forget about a fight with Froch right now, give it another 12/18 months.. he'll be a more rounded fighter, Froch will be further on in age and perhaps Groves could get him on the decline. Timing is the important thing here for Groves. Froch went life and death with Johnson? You obviously watched a different fight from me.
groves has come on leaps over the last year, but lets get real he has been fighting two levels down from froch only one winner in my eyes
Glen Johnson and Glen Johnson are the same level, and James DeGale is a similar talent level to Andre Dirrell.
It will be close until Froch gets to Groves mid to late and proceed to beat the **** out of him until the ref steps in.
what has goves done to warrant such comments ....don't get me wrong he is talented but am struggling to see why people have him as fav.... Kind of confirms that Froch is underated big time....what has he got to do!!!
In my opinion George Groves has the technical ability and intelligence to win this fight. Froch is ready to be taken by the right fighter. If it is DeGale in ther with Froch then I would pick Froch because DeGale's fighting IQ is weak.
