I'd be more confident in GSP's chances if ......he wasn't coming back from a nearly 3 and a half year layoff, wasn't moving up in weight, and hadn't been so prone to taking damage in his last few fights. He was top level of the elite, but what now? Not sure what to think. 4 years ago he mops Bisping up.

The UFC loses its legitimacy with fights like this. They let pissbing defend his title against a 46 yr old and now a a blown up WW who hasn't fought in almost 4 years. Romero earned his shot fair and square .

I see where you are coming from and you are right, the problem is MMA is so random and unpredictable, unlike boxing the UFC have to game the system to ensure huge marquee fights. It is so easy to lose in MMA there's no point in risking GSP fighting someone even lower down the ranking. And it's obvious that Romero is going to make mincemeat of Michael and then the hype bubble has gone.

    This is such a shame.

Jacare or Romero should be facing him next.

GSP could have come back against Silva in a huge co-main event card.

This is as bad as Tito ducking Lidell

At least the UFC could be upfront with the fans and admit they are just interested in putting big fights on and belts mean nothing. GSP to fight CM in Canada coming by years end.

I agree with the above sentiments and I'm a BIG fan of Bisping. Will admittedly watch this fight with some degree of interest, but this is a farce.

UFC just come out and admit that your belts don't mean sheeet anymore. Title holders should be facing the no.1 contender if possible but the minimum should be someone in the top 5 of the division.

Just watch the ufc make Jacare-Romero for another interim belt. Don't laugh it will probably happen.

So Romero gets left hanging. UFC is on some Bull ****. A guy with recent wins over Souza and a brutal KO of Weidman should never be leap frogged like that. If I was Romero or any other fighter that has been played like that, I would leave the UFC.

Yup. Can't imagine them letting GSP anywhere near Romero, or Souza if he beats Bisping. He would get crushed. They will milk GSP for all they can.

I agree with you though. He should have had his opportunity to concave Bisping's face in

I am a big fan of GSP and I don't know why he came back. Bisping is quite bigger than him and Saint-Pierre will have trouble standing with Bisping fairly fast hand. Contrary to what others have said, I would point out that MMA fighters are good wrestlers until they face GSP. If GSP can win this, it will be in the inside, pushing Bisping on the cage, getting the take down, lay and pray! GSP is confident he can do it. I hope he does, I wished he didn't come back.
