He was implying stand-up, not mma. In this fight, boring fight, gsp called koscheks bluff and stood up and "fought like a man". Don't let Rogan get to your head with his "Wow, knockout power, etc " crap he exclaims whenever there is a ufc ko. That Duffee ko, he was all over the place. Would gsp/koschek stand up and " fight like a man" against, let's just say Humberto Sotto? Not no, but hell no! Even a bum can be competitive in mma to say the least. (Victor Valenzuela)

This is how you know you lost an argument. You got nothing to say, except Kos wins cuz he wins.

    Great retort.

    This is just stupid.

He was the #1 contender, that is by definition top tier; unless there is only one guy per tier.

If GSP didn't exist, he would be in strong contention for being the champ at 170.

He is a much larger man with an impressive wrestling pedigree. It's not rocket science.

Well when there is such a huge gap in skill between number 1 and 2 it seems wrong to call number 2 top tier. You are right though.

GSP is just that much better than the rest. Don't see him loosing the title in a long time. After he beats Shields and if Silva gets past Belfort easily the UFC should make Silva vs. GSP.

    well no.

didnt he get his ass handed to him by alves?

didnt he get ko'd by thaigo?

its stupid to say koscheck is not top teir because he challenged for a belt, what about hardy or serra, are they also top tier?

you think every fighter who challenges for the belt is top teir?

i agree 100 percent lets make it happen already,it could be at 170-185 make it a catchweight or whatever is needed and if im not mistaking cant a mma fight be changed from 3 rounds to 5 rounds even if there isnt a belt on the line?

Alves, Fitch, and Koscheck are almost universally considered the best WW outside of GSP. Kos just fought for the title as the #1 contender.

Serra was top tier while he was the champ (although did't actually earn the shot), Hardy got preferential treatment because of being English.

You can't have a 1 man tier; Koscheck is in the top 4 WW's in the world, that is top tier.

Who is top tier if not Kos?

Why don't you explain how Pac would win, I adore Pacquiao as a boxer, but unless he'd knock Koscheck cold in the first 10 seconds, there is absolutely no doubt that he would get taken down and would only stand back up when the round ends.

alves- maybe, fitch- definetly, koschek hell no!

what about jake shields and carlos condit both those guys are better than koschek.

let me put it this way, koschek loses to alves, gsp and if they were not from the same camp fitch 9/10 times.:deal

carlos condit probably beats him, sheilds definetly beats kos, IMHO of course:good

nick diaz might just be better as well.

it must suck to have to make excuses for your boy koschek gettin beat down:tong
