With Silvas length, Id even give him the advantage on the ground. He'll bust GSP up with some elbows. Hughes bothered GSP with some elbows from the bottom let alone Silva whos 6'3 he'll ****in sit up while locking GSP with a body triangle. Everytime this thing is stood up and it will from time to time. GSP is in danger of getting hurt. I cant imagine Silva being a counterpuncher in this one. With his size difference and ability to get the fight stood up, I can envision flying knees all over the place. After Silva makes Forrest (whos a huge LHW) cry, you'll know how much of a fantasy this matchup is.
Chimba, the main point I was trying to make is that both fighters are equally impressive in their respective weight divisions. I acknowledged that size would come into play if they were to fight each other. I think that Silva vs Griffin is a gross mismatch. Let me emphasize the "gross" part. I believe that Silva is going to bust up Griffin in a way beyond sporting chance type of manner. Henderson's last pundh on Bisping won't hold a candle to this bludgeoning.
Not being rude or taking anything from Anderson but where has all this been the last few fights? GSP has a legitimate shot here.
The hope is that Silva will move up to 205, establish himself, while GSP eventually moves to 185 and establishes himself there - then have a catchweight fight at about 195 a few years down the road.
