UFC contained two horrific prima donas which were in danger of changing the landscape of MMA for good.

Mayweather took care of McGregor by making him more money in one fight than he'll ever make in his career again, chances are he'll never fight again.

The more dangerous prima dona was Bisping who was a reigning champion and was someone who was never likely to face a ranked contender again, GSP coming out of retirement, beating the champ and then vacating the belt means parity is restored and now Whittaker is the rightful champ.

With the prima dona fighters removed we have a return to normality all the champs are facing top contenders and no one is turning down fights due to money.

GSP has saved the UFC and for that I'm incredibly thankful.

This really is the best possible outcome that could've taken place for the MW division.

I agree I'm absolutely buzzing about this.

Rockhold, Weidman, Romero, Jacare, Brunson, now all the big matches are back on and likely to be made.

Any man who fights Jacare, Romero and Rockhold consecutively is exactly the kinda man you want as a champion.

Id be gutted for Whittaker if he lost and was never really recognised as champ.
