Apart from Matt Serra:). Complacency and not training correctly for a fight could see him beat off a lightweight, but GSP is with the best camp in the world to ensure that the lessons learned from the Serra fight are never forgotten.

No disrespect mate, but I disagree. I believe that BJ was in superb condition and perfect mind set prior to his second fight with GSP and I see no reason to believe that a third fight between these two would be that different to the second fight. It should be more competitive, simply because the second fight was so uncompetitive! As for BJ not allowing himself to be mauled like that again, if GSP fights like he did that night there would be little BJ, even with his iron will, could do to prevent it.

The only way he could change the action and course of a third fight to not make it look like the 2nd fight would be to completely change HIS strategy. Penn has been fighting the same way since he came back from to the UFC really. Not force, box on his feet and avoid takedowns with the belief that eventually he will catch his opponent, hurt them and then take it to the ground and finish him.
If he fights GSP again, he would have to go straight for him, and try to hurt him quick and even try to push him back. GSP is too good and too strong to sit back and play that game with him. He tried it in the 2nd fight and it was a disaster.

Penn is no doubt the best LW that ever lived & he is so good that he beats most WWs but GSP is likely the best ever at WW & I think its asking too much for Penn to beat GSP, credit to him for wanting to give it another shot, he is a warrior & I would root for him but my head says GSP wins again, the last fight wasnt really close at all.
GSP needs to take a leaf out of Penn`s book & challenge Anderson Silva IMO, thats why I have BJ a little ahead of GSP p4p.

If Penn starts taking HGH (if he doesn't already, doubtful that he does) and gets Mackie Shilstone.....fights 1 or 2 WWs and stops them, THEN and only THEN will this fight be a possible victory for him.

This pic displays the size difference pretty well. Look how much bigger GSP's head is and I've always thought BJ had a big head. HGH :yep

No need for a third fight! And i don't think Penn diserve one , after all the allegation he did about the vaseline and the roids!

If I was GSP I wouldn't accept the fight at all. I don't even think he'd be motivated to train as hard for him anyways. How many times do you have to beat someone for them to understand that this is the way it is?

Not necessarily everyone in MMA is a juicer. Surely some guys are just gifted with good genetics?
